Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself;
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today.
I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet.
I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it.
~Groucho Marx

An early morning walk is a blessing for the whole day.

This is the day which the Lord hath made;
we will rejoice and be glad in it.

A day to be outside

61 degrees this morning but no wind.
A cloudy morning with some low hanging clouds.
This picture taken at the end of my driveway
looking down into a cloud.
As I've done before here I am walking down into the cloud.
Walked out of the cloud and up the hill to town
and around both cemeteries.
Went down by the barn to see the bulls
this was the only one there, the black bull is gone.
But two of the horses were there with him today.
Today was the day for rabbits, they were all over the place this morning.
Saw some cute tiny ones too.

By the time I got home there were a few peeks of blue sky around.

Here is our 'bear' that lives near the side of our driveway.
The first time we saw it, it sure looked like a bear.
It is actually a tree stump!!
Surprisingly we had a nice sunny day for the most part.
Had a couple of rain showers but we worked around them.

Finished the measurements for the driveway that we started yesterday.

Ken still working on some drainage issues that are getting corrected.

I got some more work done on clearing the woods out back.
The deer and her fawn came by while I was out there.
They watched me, and kept their distance but then went about their
business of eating.  I was happy that they didn't ran away.
Hopefully they are getting used to us.

Hope your Wednesday was a happy one.
Life is Good

Ellen - Yes, I carry pepper spray and thankfully have never had to use it!

Nawm - No, I've been walking too long for Ken to be worrying about me.  Gyms don't work for me, I have to be outside walking.

...your first images is dreamy! We made it into the upper 80s to day, a bit too warm for me. Tomorrow 65 and 3 inches of rain. Life is all about change!

That stump could fool folks like me! 🙂

I was surprised that was not a real bear! It sure looks like one. Love your view looking down on the cloud. I sure can understand needing to be outside rather than a gym...

Those misty views are quite something to see!

I can't imagine being able to walk into a cloud but it must have been kind of special.

Hello,

Pretty views of the fog. Love the cow and horses. I have often made tree stumps and boulders into various critters. Pretty flowers. Wishing you a happy day!

That bear looks real to me. Maybe he is imitating a tree stump.

God bless.

Happy to hear you got back to walking. I knew that was going to be a weird day for you without a walk. I think it will be for me too when I stay home. Now, your first picture in this post ... When I first looked at it I was reminded of a place down in Oregon where we could look out over the beach and see the ocean in the distance. It's interesting what clouds can do to a view. Neat post!

Wow, forgot to mention, in your previous post ... seeing the bear! My oh my. Now, that might set me back. :-) The chances are so slim that I would see a bear at Green Lake, but do you know bears are often seen in the neighborhoods surrounding the city, so I don't think it would be impossible. I do think I should give more thought to carrying some pepper spray.

Wow, that first picture was startling, different, and hard to understand at first - until I saw the buildings and I could put perspective on it. Great shot.

Such a moody start to your walk. Can't tell you how many bear stumps I've been fooled by. :)
Glad you haven't had to use that pepper spray but you have it just in case.
Have a good weekend!
