Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Carpeting

πŸŒ₯     πŸŒ₯     πŸŒ₯
58 degrees this morning with a mix of sun and clouds as I headed
out the door on my walk.

Walked my usual walk around town, the ball park loop,
both cemeteries and town toward Happy Trails and back home.

Ken passed me in the truck and gave me a toot on his way
to the new house.

Couple people fishing at the town pond.
The cemetery bunnies were out hopping around,
saw 4 of them today.

Mama cow watches over her young one getting a drink.
Both of them looked up at me when I talked to them.
Walked 6 miles
Found a quarter

Seems like a couple of you were confused over the Hens and Chicks
from yesterday.
My Hens and Chicks are plants.
They pull apart quite easily and I'm planting them in crevices of stone walls.
I've got a couple more bunches like this one.
Hen and Chicks planted in the crevices.

Stayed around the house getting some things done inside
and outside.

Exciting times up at the new house today.
The carpets were put in our bedroom and closet,

second bedroom/office,
and basement stairs which is the same color as the office.
The last big thing to do on the house is the siding.
Inside just finishing stuff.  Shelves in the closets,
light fixtures, ceiling fans, a few more doors and things like that.
Shouldn't be long now.

Almost ice cream time.

Won't be long at all until you can move in.

I was wondering if you'd post how long your 6 mile walk takes ( if you don't mind saying).

Great to see the progress on the house, inside and outside. You saw a lot on your walk. Enjoy the rest of your week. xx

Not long before you move. How thrilling for you. Love the hens & chicks (we call them house leeks) growing out of the stones.

I love skies like that one in your first picture. The house is looking so good and I love what you're doing with the hens and chicks!
