Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A reading day

A little patch of snow
🎅     🎄
The temperature was 42 degrees this morning when I left the house
at 7:20.  20 degrees warmer than yesterday!!
It was a cloudy morning but I did see the sun peek out for a minute or two.
Had my usual walk all over the place.
Up at the cemetery some people decorate the graves for Christmas.
This little Christmas tree stands on top of a new grave that doesn't
even have the grave marker there yet.
A warm morning and it was so nice to be out walking.
After walking my 6 miles I just didn't feel like going back home yet
so I continued walking for another 2 miles.
🎅     🎄
I started reading my book right after breakfast and read
till I finished it.
The Perfect Husband by Lisa Gardner
It was pretty scary at times and a real page turner.
I even had nightmares about it last night!!

Between walking and reading I didn't get very much done today,
but I did enjoy my day.  😊

A happy day to you.

I always hate fiction creeping up in my nightmares, makes them even worse because you know more about the bad things in the dream instead of it being random whatever you mind makes up

I sure don't read as much as I used to. I still like to read, and feel naked if I don't have a book that I am reading.

I am reading Man & Horse: The Long Ride Across America--it is good. But not one that I can't stand to put down.

Last night Lorelei and I read part of one of The Boxcar Children books...she really liked it.

I've certainly been doing a lot of reading these days! Helps pass the time until the Head Nurse here lets me out!

I wish I could find the time to read. I actually bought me a Journaling Bible today. Im hoping it will help me enjoy reading the Bible because honestly, Its a hard book to get into. But I know its sooo good.

Hello, Not much snow left there. I like the cute tree. I have to write down that title and see if I can get it from my online library. Enjoy your holiday weekend!

Oh, that sounds so nice. I haven't had a READING day in so, so long. Good for you, but I'm sorry about the nightmares!

Reading days (times) are so relaxing. I have a very light-hearted and fun read at the moment, it's certainly not scary!

All the best Jan
