No pretty sunrise this morning just an overcast sky.
David came along with me this morning and we went on a different
route than I usually do.
Went through town and down toward Happy Trails but passed up
the turnoff and kept walking down the hill.
Made a left turn at the bottom of the hill before the road heads back up
a steep hill.
This road turns underneath the main road and we walked along
a quiet country road along a stream.
Stopped on a bridge crossing the stream father up the road.
Just a bit farther we made a right and headed up a very steep hill
with lots of turns and bends in it which goes on for a couple of miles.
I made it up the hill without stopping though I did slow down a bit.
David wasn't even breathing hard.
Finally we reached the top and it was nice walking down the other side.
The road is actually the road that turns off the main road to HT
but on the other end of the loop so eventually we looped around back to
the main road.
Walked back to town, once around the one of the cemeteries and home.
The walk was close to 7 miles.
Didn't see anyone else out along the way.
Saw a few barn cats and 5 deer.
Heard some gun shots too since it is deer hunting season.
Here's our walk route.
One of the woman from church was moving into a new place today
and we went along to help with the move.
She just needed help with the bigger items.
There were 12 of us and we got it done pretty fast.

Afterward Ken, David and I had lunch at The Cornucopia and then
had a little walk around the artisan village.
Most of the little shops were closed but still a nice place to walk.
A happy day to you.

Let Every Day Be Christmas by Norman Wesley Brooks
Christmas is forever, not for just one day,
for loving, sharing, giving, are not to put away
like bells and lights and tinsel, in some box upon a shelf.
Peace on Earth, good will to men,
kind thoughts and words of cheer,
are things we should use often
and not just once a year.
Remember too the Christ-child, grew up to be a man;
to hide Him in a cradle, is not our dear Lord's plan.
So keep the Christmas spirit, and share it with others far and near,
from week to week and month to month, throughout the entire year.

I am always impressed by your commitment to your daily walks.
...the village looks like a return trip to me!
One of the rare days where you'll seem to have no snow, but we got some here
wow 7 miles! I used to walk three every day and thought I was dedicated. Thanks for the links to the cafe and artist shops. Both look like wonderful places to visit.
Very nice walk....love that creek. And like your ending paragraphs.
Looks like you had some fantastic views along your walking path.
Hello, sounds like a great walk. I like the view of the stream. The village photo looks pretty. Happy Sunday, enjoy your day and new week!
Lovely views on your walk with David. Those steep hills always get me huffing and puffing! How nice to have many hands to make the move go quickly. Hope you have a good Sunday.
You live in a very pretty part. Have an amazing new week :)
That was SOME walk...beautiful route!
Guess the wind wasn’t blowing too much when that acorn fell from the tree. ☺️ (David enjoying walking as much as you do.) Very pretty little scenes you find along the way.
What a lovely walk and what a lovely day.
All the best Jan
Nice to get a walk with your son. It is pretty country. Nice route.
