Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Wednesday

Another pretty warm morning with a temperature of 64 degrees.
I don't ever remember it being so warm here in October.
Not complaining though.

A cloudy morning with a feel of rain in the air.
No rain while I was walking but we did have rain later in the day.

Walked the streets behind my house, around town, down toward Happy Trails,
up Barn Sale and around both cemeteries.

Looks like the Drane House will be getting a new roof.
Didn't see anyone else out walking this morning.

Walked 6.3 miles

Baked some Snickerdoodles this morning and just before lunch took them over
to the building site to give to Ronnie.  He was very thankful.
It rained on and off all morning and they still worked.
Lunch time this is what was done.
So exciting seeing the walls go up.
The sun came out for a little while in the afternoon but by
3:30 it was pouring out.
We didn't get back to the site to see what more had gotten done.

Posting early today because right now the internet is working
and who knows what it will be like later!!!
Will try to get around to visiting you.

A smile from me to you.

Hi Happyone, I just looked over your recent posts. You will not be surprised to know that I absolutely loved your photos of the sunrise on October 9th. That must have been an awesome experience. You mentioned the pictures don’t do it justice but the pictures themselves are amazing! Great photography! It is neat to see the pictures of your new house going up. Ken is quite a builder! I noticed you mentioned internet trouble a few times and wonder what is the problem? You probably mentioned it in a blog post I missed. Anyway, I hope things will be back to normal soon, if not already. Thanks for sharing your blog, your photography, and your kind comments on my blog. Have a wonderful day and say Hi to Ken. John

Pouring rain sounds so refreshing. We sure could use some of that right now.

Rain is always welcome except when you're trying to get a house built, right? At least you have a wall now.
