Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Bowling Day

 🍃     🍃
This morning I had a 6 mile walk all over town.
Went up Sale Barn road a ways too.  Haven't been up that way for a while.
Quite a trek up the hill.
It was 54 degrees and cloudy at the start but the sun came out at times
later on towards the end of my walk.

Most of the leaves are still green on the trees but some are already losing their leaves.
Can't believe I didn't see ANY rabbits this morning at all.
That is very unusual.
Didn't see anyone else out this morning.
🍃     🍃
We went bowling  🎳 today and there were eight of us.
My first two games were good, 156 and 169.
Don't know what happened to me on the third game but it was only 101.
Ken's high game was a 205.

After bowling we all out to eat and after that Ken and I went to
Walmart and did our food shopping.
I've just finished putting everything away and now I'm ready
to sit in my chair and relax.

A happy day to you.

Henny - Yes, I'm pretty sure the purple flower is ironweed.

Rose - No, we don't have Hulu.  I feel exactly like you do about hanging clothes up outside. 😊

Adam - The temperature that I give is just from the morning.  It does warm up nicely during the day.  Yesterday it was in the mid 60's as well as today.
Wearing the proper clothes keeps me warm in all kinds of weather.

If you want to see dismal bowling scores, you should see mine. :) My bowling scores are like good golf scores! Beautiful pink blooms. I think you deserve to put your feet up!

I love that pink flower.I see in my area as well, that many leaves are still green, but others are already falling.

It's still been very hot here, but suppose to cool down tomorrow. I love that you share your adventures on your hikes. I haven't bowled in quite a long time.

Your pictures today are lovely and suggest an early change of the seasons.
Our temperatures here have been much cooler than normal so it is feeling like fall.

Hello, looks like a nice walk and great photos. I've been seeing the leaves falling here too. It feels like fall. Ken had a great high score game. Have a happy day!

Hi Karen, sounds like we are enjoying the same temperatures for our morning walks.
We saw a wee baby rabbit this morning. We startled it and it ran across the road, it was very tiny!
Hope you enjoyed a relaxing evening.

Hi, thanks for the visit...I have been thinking I should do a post just as an update ...nothing new here. Good days...some better than others. None really bad. We even ventured over to our daughter's new home in St. Louis...actually St. Charles, MO...a little over 200 miles. That was a big step for both of us.

Roger is still coughing and coughing. I am wondering if it will slow down once winter is here. We go to see the PA at the ENT tomorrow. We were there a couple weeks ago, and he suggested trying leaving his hear aids out, but that does not seem to help. (But Roger can remember that his dad always coughed when his dad was cleaning his own ears.) So we were in high hopes that would help.
