🌻 🌻
We did get a quite a bit of rain yesterday evening so didn't have to water the gardens.
This morning the temperature was 55 degrees when I walked and
cloudy. I walked over to the industrial park and walk around there.
After 3 miles a light mist started falling and it was windy and I was getting
a bit chilly. Decided to head home and cut my walk short.
But by the time I neared home the rain had stopped so I walked
the roads behind my house.
By this time the wind dried me out so I thought I'd just finish the last
mile walking around town. About a half mile from home it started raining again.
Walking down the main street in town a car slowed down, the window opened
and a woman yelled out the window, I walked today.
I yelled back Good for you. 😊
Didn't see anyone else out walking.
Walked 6.2 miles

I made us pancakes for breakfast.
Right after breakfast I tried the second new recipe I found for rhubarb.
This one was for Rhubarb Bread and I thought it was very good.
I'll freeze most of it otherwise I'd just eat it all up and the recipe
made two loaves.
After lunch we went up to Happy Trails.
Didn't do any work, just walked around and enjoyed being up there.
We started planning out the trail to connect the new house to the cabin.
Want to make it wide enough not only to walk it but drive the ATV along it too.
Sat out on the deck of the cabin for a while.
The Robin that built her nest out there is now on her third brood this season.
So Ken still has not be able to replace that one piece of the roof.
Here is the robin perched in a tree near the deck.
When she gets brave enough she flies back and forth to the nest to
feed the babies.
Today was a day of sun and clouds and pretty windy at times and
the temperature stayed in the low 60's.

PrunellaP - The first picture in yesterdays post we call golden rod too. The cattails the title referred to was the second picture where they are just starting to come back around the pond. Sorry it wasn't clear.

Rain is always welcome especially after the heat. A lovely morning walk as always, thanks for sharing and greetings!
...it sounds like we had the same weather yesterday!
Hi Happyone, Just looked over your posts for the last week. As always I found several photos that rewarded my visit. Today, first pic, the long string of white covered hay. I have seen hay rolled and stacked like that in Montana but I’ve never seen them put a cover on it. I wonder if it is a new practice or if it is common in your area? Neat photos of the Robins out by the cabin. On Friday’s post … Love the sky shot with the big cloud. One of the things I really enjoy about your photography is the way you see and capture the beauty in the sky. Also a great shot of the daisy cover … wondered if that is in your yard or along your walk? Thursday’s post … Great photo of the sun shining through the tree … very cool the way you framed that one up. As I’ve told you before, you definitely have “the eye” for what makes a great photo! Lastly, thanks for the link to Ken’s Trains. I think there are a couple of videos I haven’t seen yet so I’ll go take a look now. Thanks, as always, for sharing your blog and for your kind comments on mine. Have a good weekend and say HI to Ken for me!
I'm pretty sure I remember seeing a robin's nest when I was younger. A bird got in an old storage building and I could remember them chirping
We cooled down into the 80's today and it was amazing what a relief that was. Love the robin shots. After I picked a good bunch of blueberries this morning we had blueberry pancakes this morning. Glad you were able to get your full walk in.
Yesterday here was so windy and cool I could not sit on the porch without freezing. I put on long jeans instead of capris and they actually felt wonderful.
That is amazing with the robin...they have sure been busy!
Glad you get to go up to Happy Trails and just relax sometimes!
Hello, yesterday morning was so chilly. We enjoyed an early morning walk too. Love the Robin photos, she is busy. Happy Sunday, enjoy your day and new week ahead.
Just love your photo's of the robin, such a good looking bird.
All the best Jan
