Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Tuesday

I noticed some geese came back to the pond by the Drane house.
🌾     🌾
55 degrees with a mix of sun and clouds this morning when I walked.
A  beautiful cool summer morning.
Walked the Farm Loop.
A couple I've never seen before was walking there too.
I told them I'd never seen anyone else walk along here and they told
me they do every day.  I was a bit earlier than usual so we just probably
walk it at different times.

Back in town, I walked around one of the cemeteries a couple of times with Kathy.
I walked around the ball park loop and then home.

Walked 6.2 miles
🚶     🚶
It was a cloudy morning but I did a load of laundry and hung it outside
anyway.  Got the the lawn mowed this morning.  It was a bit
wet but it really needed to be mowed.
Also got a little more weeding done in the morning.
Then it was time for lunch.

We went bowling today.  It had been a few weeks so it was nice to
get back to it again and had a fun time.  There were 7 of us.
My games today were 136, 152, and 152 in that order.

This sun flower is one of the many that are in our yard.
All 4 of the blooms that you see are all on the same flower and there
are more that you can't see and some that haven't bloomed yet.
The day ended up being cloudy and the temperature never made it out
of the 60's.

A happy day to you.

The photo with the geese is lovely. Wouldn't that be great to have next to a house?!

It was such a beautiful day today...even though the sun didn't shine here until around 5:00 this evening! But it was so nice to not have that humidity! No air conditioning needed, just opened up the windows and let the fresh air come in! Loved it! I thought of you this morning with the cooler temps and how good it would feel to you on your walk. :) xx

That pond looks divine. And I enjoy your walks perhaps as much as you do :)

We've had so much rain I had to delay mowing the lawn. When I finally did, much of it had to be raked!

That is a beautiful sunflower.
Your temperatures sound delightful to me. We are going to get a slight break today with highs in the 80s. I plan to spend some time doing much needed weeding.

Whoa...lucky you to have such low temperatures. We're being promised our highs will drop to the low 90's, maybe.
