Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Outback for supper

The little stream behind the ball park.
🌾     🌾
A nice sunny morning with some low hanging clouds.  Kind of neat to walk in the sun
and see clouds in front of you.  Temperature was 55 degrees
(up 10 degrees from yesterday's 45)
and just a slight breeze.  Great walking weather.

No particular route again, another one of those random all over the place walks.

This is what the town pond looks like now.
Didn't see anyone else out this morning but here a couple of pictures along my walk.

Walked 6.2 miles
🌾     🌾
A busy morning around the house cleaning.

Mid afternoon we drove over to Morgantown, WV (30 miles away)
to return all the Comcast equipment that we had.
Haven't been watching ANY television so decided to get rid of it altogether.
We do fine with just watching Netflix.

While we were there we looked around a few stores and then had supper at Outback.  We don't do that often so it was a real treat.
I usually get the Victoria's Fillet (medium rare) with the sweet potato
and it is what I had today.
Comes with a salad too and I love the black bread there.

I have been really bad about doing my exercises and today I got
back to doing them.  Easy for me to walk every day but it is a job to
get those exercises in.

A nice relaxing evening awaits me now,
and of course some ice cream.

A happy day to you.

Sandi - The road in the picture from Saturday that you  asked about leads up to one of the cemeteries I walk around most days.  Hard to tell from the picture but it is a hill.  This is at the top and you are looking at the entrance to the cemetery.  It circles around and I come back around from the left.
Taking a right turn at the top of the road ends at one of Farmer Marvin's barns.  On the left is the Drane house and the pond which I often take pictures of and where the horses are.

Your pictures are just stunning, Karen. I love the one to the entrance of the cemetery and also the ones of the water behind the ball park and the town pond. Just beautiful. I wish we could walk together.

I, too think this series of photos are extra nice. I hope people click and enlarge them. It seems the geese don't mind what they did to the pond, but it looks sort of naked, doesn't it?

I love that stream behind the ball park. It's hard for me to stick with exercising too, and I used to do them faithfully. I started doing them again last Friday. Hope I can be as determined as you are with your walking. :)

I cut cable a long time ago. I can't go back to shows airing on a set time. They should be ready when I want to watch them

Hello, I would seeing the low clouds and pretty scenery while out walking. Nice shot of the geese at the pond. We usually go to Texas Roadhouse more than the Outback. Happy Tuesday, enjoy your day!

Your town and country pictures look so Norman Rockwell . . . such a lovely place to walk. We have been talking about getting rid TV, too. We never watch it (Netflix, Amazon & You Tube are plenty) so why do we keep paying for the service?

Now that's interesting. I think I could give up my tv service as well. Anything I want to watch is available online. My bill went through the roof and I am annoyed having to pay it. I have heard a lot about ROKU, but not sure that would be a benefit.
