Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Passing on the right

🐢     🐢
A little late getting started on my walk this morning, left at 7:00.
It had rained during the night but stopped by the time I left the house
and was just cloudy and 65 degrees.  After about 3 miles of walking I
felt the first rain drops and soon after it was raining again.
It felt nice this morning because it was a bit warm out and the rain
cooled me off nicely.  A mile later the rain stopped and I was dried off
by the time I arrived back home, though the rain started again soon after.

Walked the roads behind my house, around the all park loop,
through town and down toward HT, back to town, around both cemeteries
and back home.

One of the trucks from the lumber yard here in town was at a house
delivering something and one of the men smiled and said, "You're late today."
I didn't know him but he sees me walking every morning.

The corn is growing nicely with all the rain and sun we've been getting.
It's up to my knees now.
The main road outside of town has nice wide shoulders and I was walking back
toward town on the left side when a pick-up truck started passing
another pick-up truck on the shoulder!!
Luckily I was just at Farmer Mavin's farm road and I
stepped down there as the truck passed.
Of course the first truck is mad now and chases the other blowing his horn.
Just up the road the road goes to two lanes anyway and the guy
could have just passed the other there.
Hope the rest of the day they make better decisions and are happy. 😊

Ken has drawn up some detailed plans for our house and today we took
the plans to an architect who will make up the blue prints for the builder.
So things are progressing with the new house.
We were thinking that we wouldn't break ground till next spring but
maybe it will happen this year.  Would be nice if that happened
but are happy to wait till next spring if we have to.
We know it is in God's hands and will be patient.  😊

While we were out we did a few other errands.
We had a mix of rain and sun today.

After supper I went outside for about half an hour and got a little
more weeding done.

A happy day to you.

Once you stop rushing through life,
you will be amazed how much more life you have time for.

I love seeing the corn in the field. Today was a rushed kind of day so this was a coincidence. We rushed and felt very frustrated trying to get everything done. We'll slow down this evening though! Hugs!

That's fun that the truck driver knew you were walking later than usual. I'm glad you weren't harmed by the impatient driver. Yikes. How fun to plan a home from the dirt up!

What is that first picture? I can't for the life of me make it out.

Hello, pretty images, love the deer. I wish drivers were more patient, they seem to be in a rush all the time. I am glad you are ok walking along the road. Planning your new home sounds like fun. Happy Tuesday, enjoy your day!

Scary! The trucks!
See? I think your house is going to perk right along and soon you'll be living in a nice woodsy abode! Yay!
I weeded a bit yesterday. I think I overdid it with the ONE crop - zucchini. I have too many plants.
The corn looks wonderful! Have a great day, K!

Yikes about those irresponsible truck drivers. Glad that you had a way of escape. 🙃

It must have been fun for Ken to draw up plans. Did you have some inputs as well?

Glad you were able to get out of harms way. I, too, hope that the truck drivers calmed down and there were no more problems along the way.

That's great about the house. I was just reading in your other post about walking around the layout. So, will you live full time at HT at that point?
