Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Walking the Farm Loop

So nice to have a sunny morning for walking for a change.
It was a cool 31 degrees though so a bit chilly BUT there was no wind at all
and by the time I got home in was in the 40's and stayed there all day.

Walked the Farm Loop and took these pictures along the way.

Back in town I walked around the industrial park and saw this
poor hurt Robin in the middle of the road.
She was trying to move and couldn't.
I moved her into the grass.
Before arriving back home I walked the road behind my house and there
were the two walking geese again.  😊
Sure was a beautiful morning.
Walked 6.2 miles
🐓     🐄
We wanted to transplant some bushes in the yard but it was just too
wet out in the back yard and the tractor would have really made a mess
of the lawn.  Instead took the dump trailer to the stone place
and got a few loads of gravel for up at Happy Trails.
A huge loader scooped up 2 tons of gravel
and dumped it in our trailer.
We did that three times and dumped them at HT.
Oh so nice just dumping the stone instead of having to shovel it.
Then Ken used the tractor and put the gravel in front of the wood shop and
on the road he made along side it.
We didn't back home till a little after 5:00.

Now it's time to relax and enjoy the evening.

A happy day to you.

I enjoyed your walk today...especially the farm loop! I'm so glad that you have the dump trailer now! What a lot of shoveling that would have been otherwise.

Love the quote today!

What a pleasant place to walk...I love photographs of chickens. Shoveling really gets to me...so I would be loving that trailer!

Yes, it's so nice to have sun, even though it's still chilly.

your photos are beautiful. Those ducks waddling along are so cute...like two old women walking and talking.

You always have the best quotes. It is true that there are times when criticism is important and to do it wisely and well is an art that I have not mastered.( Instead, I tend to say nothing at all, which is why I am stepping in dog poo literally way too often. ) I can receive crticism much better if it is "teaching."

You must have sent the sun ahead as my day has unexpectedly arrived with sun! Sun! Glorious ☀️

Everything looks so nice at Happy Trails. Hope that it doesn't take too long for the ground to dry out some so you can accomplish your other chores. You two always have something going!

Hooray for sunshine on your walk. How sweet of you to put the injured robin in a safe place. I hope he/she will recover and be able to fly again.
The new dump trailer looks like it will come in handy for many things. Wonderful how much time it saved on getting the stones moved!

Beautiful pictures. Love that sweet chicken, and those geese are adorable!
That's so nice that you were able to get the gravel and get it where you wanted it with that great trailer of yours.

Have a great day.

The dump trailer certainly makes things easier for you. I hope the little robin wasn't seriously hurt. I sure hate to see that. Have a great day.

Aw. The poor robbie. I hope he's okay. You are kind to give him a lift.
Two geese go walking . . . sweet!

Having that trailer that has that dump option is a real blessing!

I haven't walked there in years. Is this the path to the right after Bollman bridge? There is white water on the right. We never went beyond the white water. Our dog would swim in a safe place.
