Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Picture Perfect Loaf

🌳     🌳
When I left on my walk this morning it was 44 degrees and foggy.
Nice to see the horses back in the pasture. (above picture)

In the pond by the Drane house I took this picture of the geese family + 2.
There are 6 little ones.
Picture not so good because they were a ways off and I zoomed in.
Walked behind my house, then through town, around the ball park loop
and both cemeteries.
The guy that runs around the ball park 5 times was out this morning.
I should find out his name one of these days.

Walked 6.1 miles
Found a penny
🌳     🌳
Yesterday I woke up to thunder storms so didn't walk.
We had to go down to Howard County again and it rained and was foggy
on the ride there and back.
Seemed to be more traffic than usual, crazy drivers didn't stay home,
and we got stuck in a traffic backup for an hour on the way home.

While there we went to the mall and had lunch at Chevy's (Mexican).
Haven't eaten there since we moved.  Food still good!!
Had a bit of a walk around the mall too.
Finished up my steps for the day in the house when we got home.
🌳     🌳
It's been dreary, misty, and foggy all day.
A good day for making bread so I made some this morning.
This must be one of the nicest loaves I've ever made.
It tasted good too.  We put a little olive oil in a bowl with
some spices and dipped our bread in it.
Yummy.

Both Ken and I had hair cut appointments this afternoon so we walked
down the road to Sherry's and got that done.

Read some of my next in line book to read.
I'm reading another Pitt and Charlotte book by Anne Perry.

We are making pizza for supper, the dough is in the
bread machine now.
Sure looking forward to supper.
Haven't had homemade pizza in a while.
Chocolaty Chippety ice cream later.
Life is Good.

A happy day to you.

DebbyRay - I've scattered wild seeds around the yard before but nothing ever came up.  I think the birds must have eaten them.  This time I'm going to plant them IN the ground.

I love to see the nature in your posts, the ducklings are so sweet, but when going through your posts I'd missed, I absolutely loved the picture with the turtles sunning themselves xx

Oh so many questions...do you have a good recipe for bread made in the bread machine? Would love to get the recipe for our machine, which we used only once long ways back. Help?

Your bread loaf is perfect! I haven't baked bread in ages. I love to make it from scratch - something very therapeutic in the kneading! Happy Mother's Day.

What a beautiful loaf of bread...I wouldn't be able to stop eating it. Did you use any whole grains in it? Enjoy your weekend!
