Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Saturday

🌺     🌺     🌺
A beautiful sunny morning and 49 degrees when I started out walking.
Walked the farm loop.
Every time I get to this spot which is just about half way around the loop
I turn around and take a look.
Don't want to ever take this for granted.
Passing by Farmer Bill's place I saw that his two llamas were
out in the pasture.  Haven't seen them all winter.

Took this picture of the bull and horse walking down the hill from the
school to town.  The horse is usually in the pasture over by the Drane house.
Down the road a little farther our friend Dave from church
was out washing his car and truck.  Walked up the driveway to say
good morning and we had a little chat.

Continued on to town and walked around one of the cemeteries,
then through town and back home.
Walked 6.2 miles
Found a penny

In the morning we headed out in the car down to LaVale to do a few errands.
Bought some yarn while we where there.
Yarn on the left is for making a baby blanket out of weave-it squares.
The middle for a scarf that makes its own stripes.
Cone on right for making dish/wash clothes.
Ken loaded up the tractor on the trailer and I went with when he
drove it to the Kubota dealer.  It just needs a routine service.
You can't make an appointment but just have to bring it in and they get
to it when they can.  Right now there is about a 10 day waiting time.
It would seem like a better idea to me if you could just make an appointment.

Well that's it for today.
Hope yours was a happy one. 😊

Hi Karen - that is an interesting old building in the first picture. I wonder what its history is. Sounds like you had a day with errands. Me too. I am trying to get ready to have daughter and grandkids here for Easter. Lots to do and lots of people out making their Easter preparations too! Have a great weekend and enjoy the coming week!

...look at that children coop! You need to find a good mechanic, for my tractors I have a fellow who come to me, does the work at my place and charges a fraction of what the dealer wants.

I always enjoy looking at the photgraphs you include in your posts ...

I do like the blue colours in the middle ball of yarn that is going to look lovely knitted up.

Wishing you a good weekend and a Happy Easter

All the best Jan

Nice photos from your walk. Our son was just talking about hauling his tractor in for servicing. He doesn't have a trailer for it so he would have to drive it there. :) Looks like some lovely projects are afoot with that pretty yarn. A very Happy Easter to you and yours!

I agree, the appointment seems like a smarter way to go about things. Although nobody asked me :).
Your pretty new yarns will soon be transformed into lovely things after you work your magic.
Lovely scenes from your walk. That first little building is interesting. What is it?

Some of those sights we see regularly can become mundane, but we must take time to see the beauty.

I'd rather make an appointment, even if it is 10 days out! You have great places to walk.

What a beautiful pace to go walking. I truly think that I could actually walk everyday too if I had such beautiful things to see :)
