Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Tell it to Jesus

One of the Hymns we sang at church this morning.

Tell it to Jesus
By Jeremiah Eames Rankin

1. Are you weary, are you heavyhearted?
Tell it to Jesus,
Tell it to Jesus,
Are you grieving over joys departed?
Tell it to Jesus alone.

Chorus
Tell it to Jesus, tell it to Jesus,
He is a friend that's well-known;
You've no other such a friend or brother,
Tell it to Jesus alone.

2. Do the tears flow down your cheeks unbidden?
Tell it to Jesus,
Tell it to Jesus;
Have you sins that to men's eyes are hidden?
Tell it to Jesus alone.

3. Do you fear the gath'ring clouds of sorrow?
Tell it to Jesus,
Tell it to Jesus;
Are you anxious what shall be tomorrow?
Tell it to Jesus alone.

4.  Are you troubled at the thought of dying?
Tell it to Jesus,
Tell it to Jesus;
For Christ's coming kingdom are you sighing?
Tell it to Jesus alone.

Philippians 4:6, 7, 19

6.  Be CAREFUL  for NOTHING; but in EVERY thing by prayer and supplication with THANKSGIVING let your requests be made known unto God.

7. And the PEACE of GOD, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

10. But my God shall supply all your needs according to his riches in glory by Jesus Christ.

A Blessed Sunday to you all.

Haha this reminds me of a story. Last week I was at my dads house for a birthday party and I looked at the clock. It was almost 12 midnight. I joked around and told daddy that if I didnt make it to church in the morning, then im gonna tell everyone its because I was partying at his house late! Hes emidiatly flew off and said "you just tell that to Jesus!" Needless to say I went. Hahaha.

Our lives would be so much better if we went to Jesus the very first time we had even a hint of a problem, yes? Thank you, Karen, for sharing this precious hymn.

Love the words to this old song. How very true they are...not sure what I'd do if I couldn't tell it to Jesus.
