Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Blue Skies

Looking up at Happy Trails this morning
🌸     🌸     🌸
This morning it was clear and 34 degree when I headed out on my walk.
Nice to have my new shoes on my feet and my Striiv in my pocket.
Life is Good.

Walked the Town Route.
I like this spring wreath that is by one of the grave stones.
Taken with my phone
Lisa was out running this morning.
One of the churches in town is getting new shingles on their roof.
Said Good Morning to Tonya, our letter carrier delivering packages
and she said I'm on my way to your house with a package.

What a blessing to be able to walk around my little town each morning.

Walked 6 miles
🌸     🌸     🌸
My choices were to stay home and get some house cleaning done or
go up to Happy Trails.
Wasn't too hard of a decision to pick Happy Trails.
Another looking up picture here.
The sky was such a beautiful color blue.
I walked around HT picking up more dead fall clearing a couple other trails.
Ken worked over by the wood shop making a road where I cut down
all the brush last week.
The dirt he is using for fill he got here.  One of the few spots at HT
that doesn't have a lot of rocks.
This is what Ken had done by lunch time.
I went back home lunch time but Ken stayed and did some more work.

It was a beautiful sunny day but VERY WINDY.

The second Wednesday of the month is when my book club meets
at the library at 5:30 but I got a call at 4:30 saying it was cancelled tonight and rescheduled for next week.

Hope your day was a happy one.

Yes,Happy Trails would be the choice to make on a beautiful day like that.I love that looking up shot with the trees.

But most Americans literally would spend 20 minutes to find the closest parking space than walk a few extra feet

Wow! You husband got a lot done. That takes a lot of skill! And I'm glad you like your new shoes. Enjoy your evening! Hugs!

Such pretty blue skies! I certainly understand you choosing Happy Trails over cleaning the house on such a lovely day.

Oh boy...that quote. Glad you are proving it wrong. We had some blue skies and sunshine for a bit in the morning and managed to get a walk in. How nice that your mail carrier recognizes you.

WoW Ken is really made some progress!
Love the blue sky.
We have had warm weather for two months now. But according to the weather station, we may get snow on Sunday.

Hi Karen, glad you enjoyed sunny blue skies yesterday. We had the same weather too right down to the WIND. Many people lost power, luckily not us.
Beautiful Spring wreath!
Have a good day.

I do love blue skies too! Those sure are pretty! I've just caught up reading your last three posts...I'm behind again. :) You know, my FitBit is not really comfortable to wear and at first was really hard to snap closed. I was thinking it would be bigger, and round. I've gotten used to it but would like another style. It was a gift from Poppy.
