Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Quilt Barn (20)

Monday and time for linking up with Tom for the Barn Collective series.
This Quilt Square is on the dairy calf barn of Bob and Alice Bender
located in the Cove near Accident, in MD, Garrett county.
This design is Garden Maze in homage to their Corn Maze
which is different every year.

I got up in the night and the temperature was 0 so this morning I didn't even
bother to get up early for my walk.  So no morning walk again for me this morning.

After breakfast we drove down to LaVale and spent most of the day there.
Stopped in quite a few different stores.   Didn't buy much though.
In Ollie's I got a couple more coloring books for a few dollars.
Ken needed to get some things from Lowe's for a project he is doing for
our church.  While he was doing that I decided to take a walk around
the store and ended up walking 2 miles.
We were surprised to see that there was no snow at all down in LaVale.
About half way there the snow just disappeared.

We got back home a little after 3:00 and it had warmed up to 20 degrees,
and I went for a walk around town then.  Walked 4 miles so I got my 6 miles
in anyway.  😊

I have joined a competition on Walker Tracker to walk 15,017 steps each day
this year.  At the end of the year the goal is to have walked 5,481,205 steps.
48 people have joined.  It is easy to get the steps in during the summer
but a bit harder during the winter.  So far I've done it each day.

Started the next puzzle which is number 11.  It's a small one of a cute little kitty
with just 500 pieces.  Part of the set of the other animal ones I've done.

Made some more weave-it squares and should finish the baby blanket this evening.

Just about time for supper so off I go.
Having BLT's tonight.

A smile from me to you.

Melanie - I didn't realize there was one more book to the left behind series (Kingdom  Come) but I don't think I'm going to read it.  I think the last book is a good place to end the series.

Dianna -  My favorite salad dressing is Ken's Steak House Lite Raspberry Walnut Vinaigrette.  I hardly every eat anything else.

I'm glad you were able to walk...and what a challenge! Sometimes we feel like we've walked a couple of miles when we shop at Walmart, we probably do! Enjoy your afternoon! Hugs!

Glad you got your walk in even though it was so cold this morning. BLTs for dinner are one of my personal Faves. Have a good evening. See you again tomorrow.

2 miles in Lowe's, now that's a good walk about the store. Love the barn quilt. I always get excited to see one.

Man what dedication you have with your walking. The quilt block goes nicely with this modern style barn. Thanks for stopping by, please stop back again.

Another lovely barn quilt! I have so enjoyed viewing these each week, Karen. And good for you for getting that walk in today!

Thank you for letting me know about the dressing. That sounds really good...think I'll add it my shopping list for this week.

Rare to see so many blue carts in lumber at lowes ready. They're usually all out in the parking lot

Hi Karen, it is surprising how many steps you can get in just walking around doing your shopping and normal daily activities.
Have a good day!

If anybody can meet that challenge, you are the one. Sounds like you are already off to a great start. I make comparatively modest challenges with my Fitbit every day. It's a good feeling to meet the goals we set.

Hello, I think you will do well with the walking challenge. Hubby and I have noticed how many steps we can get just walking around the stores. The puzzle sounds cute! Happy Tuesday, enjoy your day!
