⛄ ⛄ ⛄
25 degrees this morning and windy at times with snow flurries.
Lots of icy places which makes me very glad I have those ice grippers.
They are walk 'savers.' 😊 Without them I wouldn't be walking
on mornings like these.
School must have been delayed a couple of hours because I didn't see
any buses around. No people out walking either.
Stopped for a little chat with George who was getting out of his car by the garage in town where he works.
His wife Joyce is one of the women who takes the balance ball class with me.
I walked behind my house and around the ball park loop a few times and then
up and down some streets in town.
After walking 4 miles I went back home for a pit stop.
Then headed back outside to finish my walk. As what usually happens
when I stop home, I walked a little farther than usual. When I leave the house
again I don't realize how far I walk.
The second time out I walked up the main road through town
and around both cemeteries a couple of times.
Ended up walking 7.2 miles

Thought you might like to see what the back of the house next door to me
for sale looks like.
I finished my book last night. Never Let You Go by Chevy Stevens.
Eleven years ago, Lindsey escaped her house with her young
daughter from an abusive relationship. Her ex-husband was sent to
jail and she started a new life. Now, Lindsey is older and
wiser, with a teenage daughter. When her
ex-husband is released, Lindsey believes all ties are cut. But
she gets the sense that someone is watching her.
I thought the book was very good and a real page turner and kept me guessing.
She has written a few other books too and I plan on reading them all.
Finished up some housework for the week.
Worked on the current puzzle and did some reading.
Stopped by the window every so often just to watch the snow come down.
It's been snowing all day but it's been blowing around a lot so it doesn't
seem to be adding any inches.
So that's been my day so far.
A happy day to you my friends.

Debbie H - In answer to your question do I get cold. I wear many layers which keep me nice and warm. No, I don't get cold in these temperatures. It is cold when it gets in the single digits and on those days I don't USUALLY walk. No, my feet don't get cold. Remember I'm walking at a good pace, not just standing around, so that keeps me warm too. It is a bit funny in that walking in the cold is the part of the day that I'm the warmest. It's the other times of the day that I'm cold!!!

Hello, pretty snowy scenes. I am spoiled here in Florida, anything below 60 to me is awful. The book does good sound, I will see if my library has it online. Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend!
Hi Karen, it looks like you received a good bit of snow. We have none here again after the warmer temperatures of the last few days.
Sounds like a very good book. Must look for it in the library.
Is your neighbours house listed with a Real Estate Agent? It might be interesting if you could share the link with us!
Have a good weekend.
Sounds like my kind of story! I might look on amazon for a copy.
The weather is quite severe by the looks of things but good for you, keep waking!
I applaud you for all of the walking that you do! I think I would rather walk in the cold temps...summer is always my excuse for not walking...it's too hot!! Sounds like a really good book! Have you ever read The Shack? Just curious...the movie is coming out in March! Happy weekend!
You are an inspiration, Karen, when it comes to your walking. I would love to live where I could walk in the winter without having to worry about traffic and no where to go in the snow. For now I'll just stick to our work outs and then in the spring hit the road again. :)
The book you just finished reading sounds really good. Thank you for the review. You are doing a great job of keeping on track to meet your goal for the year.
Thank you for the back view of the house next door...you know, the one I wish we could buy.~wink~ It surely makes me homesick for the house like it that we sold when we moved here.
Very beautiful snowy scenes and I'm glad you figured out what to wear to stay comfortable! Hope the weather is mild this weekend and you have some sunshine and nice walks! Hugs!
What an upper and down winter!
Cool cool pics :)
Lovely yard, all covered with snow! Those ice grips must be wonderful for your walks. Have a great day.
Still a winter wonderland
Not so much as a flake has fallen here, I love watching the snow out the window. I'm glad it's not stopping you from getting out xx
It is so nice to look at snowy pictures.
We've had quite a few foggy mornings recently - not nice!
All the best Jan
