Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Balance Balls

40 degrees this morning and it was raining again.  I didn't wake up until a few minutes after 7:00 so got a late start.
Walked to the library to drop off a book down the slot and then walked
around both cemeteries and the ball park loop.

Lisa was out running and we stopped for a brief chat.
My step-brother Chris called while I was walking and we had a nice
catch up too.

Didn't even take my camera out of my pocket during my walk so no
walk pictures today.
A short walk too (4 miles) because of the late start and it was the first
class with the Balance Ball.  Wanted to get home and eat breakfast
and do a few things before I left for that.

I walked over to the fitness center at 10:00.
Class started at 10:30 and right on time too.
Sharon one of the women from my book club was there and also Joyce
who I've met walking.
I've met another Kathy too.  I must know a dozen Kathy's.
Kathy was the only one that would let me take her picture.
And then she took one of me too.
It was a fun class and a good workout too which lasted for an hour.
We did various stretches and did some exercises with weights too.
Not once did I roll off my ball onto the floor. 😊
I look forward to the class next week.
Stayed for a little while after and used the step machine.
Took the long way home and walked another mile home.

Home this afternoon doing this and that around the house.
That's been my day so far.

A happy day to you and a smile from me to you.

I always when events start late as they account for people that show up late

Your balance ball class looks like it would be a lot of fun. I wish we lived a little closer so we could do it together... that would be fun!

That looks like a very fun way to exercise! Nice to meet another Kathy!

Sounds like it was fun, I've heard that exercise balls are very good for core strength, though I think all your walking is the best exercise anyone could have xx

Congratulations on not falling off your ball :). Although I would never have thought that a possibility since you are in such great shape. How fun to be taking this new class with some friends. I have been using a balance ball for years trying to strengthen my core muscles on the advice of my chiropractor.
Two of my sisters-in-law are named Kathy (although one is Kathie).

well, looks like you ladies dress better for exercise class than some of us dress for the day. You look happy and lovely, one couldn't ask for more right?

You two look pretty cute perched there on those balance balls. You sure got your exercise in today with before exercise, an hour in class, followed by more walking. You're an active gal!

No wonder you stay slim and trim and in good shape. Sure wish I had your drive and determination. I start lots of programs but don't follow through. I hate being this way. Thanks for the smile.

Hi again! What a great idea this class is! One of the things I find when I walk a lot is that other muscle groups get out of balance. Great idea! Enjoy it. I retire in about a year and then I have zero excuses for not working out more.

Good for you!! That kind of class, plus your daily walking, will go far to keeping you very fit. I hope it's fun too!
