Getting tired of posting dreary day pictures
so here's one to make you smile that I took in the summer.
🌻 🌻 🌻
Another rainy morning, late getting up, and late starting on my walk.
It was 35 degrees with hardly any wind at all.
Walked around behind my house and around town here and there.
After 4 miles I was getting warm so walked back home and took off a layer
of clothes and then left again.
Lisa was out running in the rain and the man who walks his big white dog
was out walking too.
Walked around town, the ball park loop, and the cemeteries.
Hadn't looked at my pedometer for a while and when I thought it was
time to head home and looked, saw I had already walked 6 miles already.
So I walked a little farther today.
Walked 7.2 miles
Found a penny

I've been home today just enjoying the day.
A good day for puzzling, reading and not much of anything.
A happy day to you and a smile from me to you.

Reading the Readers Digest I came across this and
it made me smile so I though I'd share it with you.
Idioms for the indecisive
- Out of sight, out of mind ... but absence makes the heart grow stronger.
- The pen is mightier than the sword ... but actions speak louder than words.
- What you see is what you get ... but don't judge a book by its cover.
- Birds of a feather flock together ... but opposites attract.
- Many hands make light work ... but too many cooks spoil the broth.

I really enjoyed reading the idioms for the indecisive!
A house nearby me had some in their yard, very tall too
Yep, this is the dreary time of year!
It was nice to see that sunflower picture. It did make me smile. :-) Way to go with getting that extra mile in! Thanks for the little article from Reader's Digest. That was really cute.
When we were coming home from our work out this evening I saw a lot of that misty look like was in your picture from yesterday. I think we are supposed to get a good bit of rain on Sunday.
Have a great evening, Karen.
So nice to see that cheery sunflower!

All the best Jan
When I first saw that sunflower, I said "Whaaaatttt????"
Sounds like a nice day just doing what you wanted to do! Hope your weekend is a good one.
I love how you enjoy the simple pleasures of life, you are a living inspiration and a wonderful example to us all. I enjoyed the bit from Readers Digest, too :)
Tired of dreary days here too!
That sunflower is a beauty.
The sunflower certainly did bring a smile to my face.
Thanks for the nice sunflower :-)
Karen, thanks for sharing the sunflower photo. So nice to see on another dreary day.
We are having a do nothing day here today.
Take care!
A very cheery sunflower! Sunflowers are one of my favorites. We have had sunny, lovely weather here for a few days but that is changing beginning tonight. Have a great weekend.
Sunny days have been a rarity here! Sunflowers are a great way to bring cheer! xo
Your sunflower is the only sun we saw today! Foggy, drizzly. Beats snow, though!
