Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Saturday's Critters

Took this picture on Monday walking around the Farm Loop.
Horse on the left is Grace (don't know the other horses name)
 from Farmer Bill's farm.
Linking up the Eileen for her Saturday's Critters.
🎄     🎄     🎄
Got up late and didn't start walking until 8:00.
A dreary morning with a light drizzle and pretty windy.
So warm for this time of year at 40 degrees!!!

Walked through town and around both cemeteries a couple of times.
Then back around town.

Didn't see anyone else out today and not very many cars either.
I was going to walk past my house and walk over by the industrial park
but I was starting to get a bit wet and I was hungry so I cut my walk
short and was back home after
5 miles.
Found a dime.
🎄     🎄     🎄
I made some Pfeffernuesse Cookies this afternoon.
I don't really like the kind you get from the store but these
homemade ones are very good.
Just hanging around the house today.
Got some laundry done, read, and worked on the puzzle.

Making Kung Pao Chicken for supper tonight.
Haven't made it in a long time and looking forward to making
and eating it.

Well tomorrow is Christmas and a very happy and
Merry Christmas to you all.

Hi Karen - we are having a low-key Christmas Eve too. It is rainy and windy here today, but I managed to get my walk in early. We will got get a bucket of KFC for dinner tonight - a Jones Family tradition that we have had for many years and always look forward too. Kung Pao Chicken sounds good too! Enjoy your Christmas Day and I will see you again soon!

I like your photo of horses in the snow. Draft horses are special favorites of mine. I used to make those cookies too, home made they are delicious. Merry Christmas. This is my first Christmas without my husband, quite a shock.

Hi Karen, wonderful photo of the horses. It was pouring rain when we got up so we put off our walk until just before lunch. We are warm here too. Your Pfeffernuesse look perfect! I imagine they are delicious. I made Vegetarian Sloppy Joes for supper. It was yummy! Hope your supper was good too.
Merry Christmas Karen to you and Ken. Enjoy the day!

Have a peaceful Christmas Karen. It's a pretty quiet Christmas Eve here with our grandchildren out west now!
