Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A sunny day

🎄     🎄
13 degrees this morning at 7:25 when I left for my morning walk.
There was no wind at all so it didn't seen all that cold.
Walked all over town on no particular route and down toward Happy Trails a ways.
At 8:10 I was walking around one of the cemeteries and the sun
popped over the mountain shinning right in my face.
Boy did that feel good. 😊
Didn't see anyone else out walking and no dogs about either!!
The horses were in the field down by the Drane house
and I saw a whole mess of crows.

Walked 6 miles
🎄     🎄
We were not going to go bowling till after the holidays
but we changed our minds and went today.
There were 6 of us bowling.
Ken had a good game, 204 with 5 strikes in a row.
Left a little early for bowling and did a couple of errands
and after bowling went food shopping at Walmart.

What a joy it was to see the sun all day long.

A happy day to you.

"The universal joy of Christmas is certainly wonderful.
We ring the bells when princes are born,
or toll a mournful dirge when great men pass away.
Nations have their red-letter days,
their carnivals and festivals,
but once in the year and only once,
the whole world stands still to celebrate the advent of a life."

So nice you had a sunny day Karen. Looks like you had a lovely walk.
Windy and cloudy here today for us. Still very icy too, but we are supposed to warm up and stay that way for the next couple weeks.
Take care.

We finally got our sunny afternoon, sun's been very shy for about 2-3 weeks here. That's a beautiful picture of the sunrise over the cemetery. How nice that you and your hubby can go bowling together :). Merry Christmas!

I was sure my temps here would be lower than yours this morning but still, nope. I woke up to 24 degrees. The sun has been popping out in the morning but clouding up all during the day.
Happy Winter

Five strikes in a row? Impressive! I could be tricked into believing that these photos were taken in November or late October. Glad that you had a day of sunshine. Nothing like it!
