Good Morning 😊 |
⛅ ⛅ ⛅
Out the door at 6:30 and started my walk on the roads behind my house.
28 degrees and cloudy. Saw the sun rise before it went back behind the clouds.
Continued walking over to the industrial park and walked a couple miles there.
Then back passed my house and through town.
Around both cemeteries and then back home.
Kathy and I stopped for a chat again as we usually do now.
Nice to see her out there walking most days.
She has been seeing 'the dog' but with the owners.
I've been saying good morning to a few people who are sitting out
on their front porch early in the morning lately.
They must really like their morning cigarette to sit out
there in the cold to smoke it.
I'm thankful for these morning walks. 😊
Walked 6.2 miles

Kenny went up to Happy Trails today and I stayed home.
Baked a batch of Chocolate Chippers. This batch is for the Library
and everyone at Brenda's where we get those great pizzas
so I didn't eat any of these.
I bought some nice soft yarn yesterday and decided to knit my mom
a nice soft scarf out of it and started knitting it last night.
The yard is thicker than I usually use but not quite bulky.
Wish you could feel it, it is so very soft.
Hopefully I'll get it done this weekend because I want to mail her
Christmas package Monday or Tuesday.
Part of the next batch of cookies will go to her too.
Got a little more house cleaning done today and then in the afternoon
I started writing out my Christmas cards.
Only did a few but I did make a start.
Off now do get some food shopping done and then a bite to
eat out somewhere.

Vee - My Nativity is holding up very well, no chips at all. My wise men have not started traveling yet either. : ) Just Mary, Joseph, Jesus and the donkey and sheep.

Hi Karen, lovely photo of your sunrise. Chuck and I had errands to do this morning so we had an afternoon walk. Very chilly and windy!
I often wonder too when I see people out on their porches smoking all huddled up in the cold. As you say they must love their cigarettes!
The scarf you are knitting for your Mom looks so pretty.
I did my Christmas cards today too and mailed them off.
Hope you had a delicious supper out.
Find a penny pick it up, all the day will bring good luck. The yarn for the scarf is lovely, it'll make a beautiful present xx
Beautiful sunrise photo. I am not a smoker and cannot imagine being motivated to sitting out in the cold to have a cigarette!
I got to see the sunset today. it was just as colorful! Beautiful.
Thats gonna be a pretty scarf. Cant wait to see It once you finish.

The cigarette was probably the only warm thing where you live.
That first picture is beautiful! Wish I could get as much done as you do every day. That yarn looks very soft. I can imaging how it feels.
Your mom will love that soft, cozy scarf. What a thoughtful gift!
Love the sunrise photo. Nice to think of your mom near Christmas, and every day. She should like the gifts, especially as made by her daughter.
That a wonderfully fiery sunrise to enjoy at the start of your day!
The scarf is looking lovely! I've crocheted two scarves in my lifetime, but somehow I never thought to do them in short rows. I did both in long horizontal rows, which probably made a little less sense. One of these days, I might try doing another the way you're doing your mom's. The chocolate chip cookies sound delicious! I wish I could taste-test them for you! :D The other day waiting at Magic Muffler for a new muffler on our van, I talked with a lady in the waiting room. She told me about the fudge she's making for her grandchildren--and it sounded wonderful, but had Velveeta cheese in it, something I'd never heard of before! She said she'd send me the recipe, so that will be interesting!
I laughed at your cigarette remark. I remember working at home health and the smokers would be huddled outside smoking during their break. It was be so cold and they would be shivering out there. Made me very glad I never took up the habit! The yarn does look so soft. I'm about to begin a blanket for my very first great grandbaby due in March. Have a great weekend.
Hi Happyone, I had to smile about your photo of the inflatable back on Tuesday. Those things are funny, aren't they? Another blogger told me they had a compressor and when it is turned off the thing goes flat. I shared a picture of one a couple of days ago (Santa Pup) but thought the weather had made it go flat. Now I know. I liked your remark about smoking outside. So true. I see you bought some spray for the dog. I hope you don't need it, but I think I will do the same. Just to be safe. Thanks for sharing your blog and have a good weekend!
Hello, Love the sunrise. Beautiful colors in the sky. The scarf for your Mom is pretty. I have sent out my Christmas cards, the only thing I have done. Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend!
The early bird gets the sunrise! Beautiful. That yarn looks real soft and the colors are nice. Thanks for inspiring me...I'm going to grab our cards and start addressing them!!
What beautiful colours in your first photo.
The scarf you are knitting for your Mom looks lovely, I like the colours. You can't beat a nice comfy soft scarf at this time of year - she will love it.
All the best Jan
