The Drane House down past one of the cemeteries.
🌾 🌾 🌾 🌾
Left the house this morning at 6:35 for my walk.
The temperature was just about 20 degrees warmer than yesterday.
Today it was 40 degrees.
Today it was 40 degrees.
It had rained during the night but by the time I walked it had stopped.
The roads were wet but it was just cloudy.
Later in the day the sun finally came out.
Had my usual walk all around town and both cemeteries and the ball park loop.
Though I do have some routes that I have mapped out I hardly ever walk the exact same way around town from day to day. I like to change it up a bit.
Lots of people put things out at graves but this one seems to have
more than the usual amount of stuff around it.
Kathy was out walking again too but I only saw her at a distance.
Watched a few crows up at the cemetery and tried to get a picture
but they fly away as soon as the camera comes out of my pocket.
I guess they are camera shy.
It was a nice walk and I'm thankful that I get to start out my days walking.
Walked 6 miles

Bowling day again.
We left at 11:30 and got there at 12:00 which is opening time.
We had some lunch there and then bowled.
There were eight of us there today.
Ken and I only bowled two games today instead of the usual three.
Not such great games today for me, 107 and 127.

We had to leave early because I had a hair appointment.
It's been 2 months since I had my hair cut short and it was time for a trim.
I'm still liking my short hair and plan to keep it short,
at least for a while.

A happy day to you.

We could sure use some of your rain down here. Our part of Tennessee is pretty well covered in smoke from wildfires, although the wind is supposed to shift tonight and give us some relief. I agree that morning walks are a great way to start the day.
It is a lovely way to start the day, nice and bracing at this time of year xx
Thanks for giving the link to the Drane House ...
I like to have my hair cut every seven weeks or so - but the weeks do fly by don't they. I'm pleased you are still happy with your hair - I think it suits you.
All the best Jan
Now that Drane House is a little gem tucked away in your part of the world! Thanks for the link!
Hi Karen, glad you had a warmer walk today. So did we!
Thanks for sharing the link for the Drane House. Have you ever toured through it? It is wonderful that it has been preserved.
Two months since your haircut! The time has flown by.
Have a good evening.
I love that cabin. Would like to have one on my farm. I have a hair appointment tomorrow. Great minds get their hair cut on the same week :)
I love that old cabin...always wish I could hear the stories they have seen.
I'm glad that you had a happy day. I've had a hard time lately keeping up with your blog (in fact, I haven't even caught mine up yet) but I do think about you and hope that you are happy and well. Carpe Diem!
Hello, I love the house and the barn. Awesome place. I need my hair cute soon. Have a happy day!
Love the little Drane house. I would have love to have a cabin to get away in.

I think it's neat that you are able to find so many different walking routes. Always good when we like our haircuts.
I'm going tomorrow to get mine cut. Not sure how short, but I want something "new"....tired of this old mop head of mine! ;-) HOPE you have a great evening!
I can't find Daisy's other bowling shoe, and because of which we haven't been in quite some time
Nor does she knows hers is missing
I want to let mine grow a bit. Still up in the air as to what style I want but right now it's too short. Have a wonderful day.
