This is an old picture from when I lived in Ellicott City, Md.
It is on one of the many paths I used to walk along.
Posted an old picture because it was another rainy morning here
and never took my camera out of my pocket.
It was warm again at 47 degrees and windy.
Walked all over town up and down all the streets and around
one of the cemeteries and the ball park loop.
No one else was out walking, just crazy me. 😊
I wore my rain pants and slicker but
the rain dripped down the inside of my rain slicker anyway and by
the time I got home my shirt was pretty wet.
Wet feet too so it was nice to get home to a warm dry house.
Walked 6 miles

David left this morning continuing on to New Jersey and then to Oklahoma.
Sure was nice having him here. We should see him again when he goes
back to North Carolina in a couple of weeks.
It's been raining all day so I thought it would be a good day
to clean out and organize my desk.
I took EVERYTHING out of my desk and put it all out on the floor.
Then went though it all and threw lots of stuff away and put
the rest back in an orderly manner.
While putting things back I came across an envelope with a bit of a surprise in it.
A $100 (five 20 dollar bills)
I have no idea how long ago I put it there.
That sure put a smile on my face.
😊
Haven't done much else today.
Not sure what to make for supper tonight.
Maybe I'll take Ken out for dinner with some of that found money
before heading off to church.
A happy day to you.

Hi Karen, what a lovely surprise you had! I think you should take Ken out for supper.
Gorgeous photo of your old stomping grounds. Looks lovely!
We continue to be warm and rainy too.
Glad David will be coming back again in a couple weeks. Will you see him and your grandkids at Christmas?
Have a wonderful evening.
Lovely photo of the forest path with a beautiful shaft of sun light!
Super surprise to find that money so go ahead and treat yourselves!
That is such a pretty path. Oh my, what a good surprise that was. $100.00!! and the best surprise I ever find is another bunch of baby chickens to raise. :)
Nice!
I love that top photo especially how the light shines through ...
What a lovely surprise to find that envelope - you should treat yourselves.
All the best Jan
PS I've just read my comment, and it's so similar to Christine's LOL!

I put "clean the desk" on my Fixin' To Do list as soon as I read about your lucky find. I don't know if many of us would do 6 miles with a wet shirt so I give you kuddos for that.
You sure are dedicated to your walking!
That is a beautiful photo.
Now that's a great surprise to come across while desk cleaning. Good thing you looked inside that envelope.
Woohoo! What a fun discovery! Safe travels to David...
Hello, I am happy that you had a nice visit with your son. I am a fair weather walker, kudos to you walking in the rain. What a great surprise finding the $100. Happy Thursday, enjoy your day!
Maybe I need to clean out my desk! I wouldn't mind a surprise like you had. I'm glad you were able to have a good visit with your son David. Have a great day and don't spend that $100 all in one place.
I love that picture. It is stunning. How special to find a surprise when you least expect it!
