Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A spot of Red and a Penny

A spot of color
🍒     🍒     🍒

The other morning when I was walking God gave me a penny. 😊
I was in the parking lot of the library where I sometimes find pennies.
I was talking to God and said it would be nice to find a penny today.
There were none to be found in the parking lot but I knew God could
have put one there for me if He had wanted to.
Then a thought came to mind, I'm not home yet!
A couple of minutes later I looked down and there was a bright shiny
new penny and along side it were two dimes.  God not only gave me a penny
but two dimes too. 😊

Now some of you may think that is just a silly story and the coins
would have been there anyway.
But I believe that God put them there to remind me
that He is with me ALL the time and that
He hears me, the important things as well as the little things.
What a comforting thought.

Matthew 28:20
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you;
lo, I am with you alway,
even unto the end of the world.
Amen.

Isaiah 41:10
Fear thou not; for I am with thee:
be not dismayed; for I am thy God:
I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee;
yea I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

I Peter 5:7
Casting all your care upon him;
for he careth for you.

I John 5:14
 And this is the confidence that we have in him,
that, if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us:

A blessed Sunday to you all.
Jesus love you.

What a wonderful story Karen. Chuck has a cousin Chaya who lives in Connecticut. They are very close and talk on the phone once a week or so. She was out for her walk recently and was thinking about Chuck. She sent a prayer up to God and asked for a sign that Chuck was thinking of her today. She looked down at her feet and there was a Canadian penny. As I mentioned in my comment yesterday we no longer have a penny so for an old one to show up in Connecticut was incredible.
Thanks for sharing the verses today too.

Sometimes when Im having a bad day, I will find a penny on the ground. With the words "In God we Trust" facing upwards. Thats when I pick it up and carry it in my pocket. I think its a little reminder from him.

Yes, God really does care about the little things.I think He smiled when you rejoiced over finding a simple penny. That's just like our God.
