I was surprised the temperature was on the warm side this morning, 65 degrees.
Some sun and clouds but then it was all clouds and looked like rain,
but no rain while I walked.
Walked to the laundromat and then to the post office to take down
a couple of flyers that I put up for a church activity which is now over.
Continued around town, up Barn Sale, down toward HT
turned around and came back to town.
Walked around both cemeteries.
I took time to walk around by the gravestones to read some of them.
Most you can't read anymore.
I'm pretty sure that this one of James Drane is the oldest one there.
He and his family lived in the Drane house just next door.
As I walked down to where the horses were I saw two of them galloping
through the tall grass back to the barn.
I could hear and feel their hoofs on the ground as they ran.
So cool to see them running.
I snapped this picture as they came back by the barn.
From there I walked home.
Walked 6.2 miles
Found my first coins of the month - a penny and a quarter.

Sunset 7:38

We went up to Happy Trials today.
For a little while I added some dead fall to the natural fence.
We collected some more rocks for the rock crusher.

Ken has a collection of license plates and wanted to used them somewhere on the cabin.
So we decided to put part of his collection on the small bump out.
We did that today.
It will have shelves with baskets for storage.
Ken did some puttering around and I sat out on the deck reading
until it started to rain.
Then we left to go back home. 🏡
I finished reading my book 📖 for the book club tomorrow,
All American Boys.
You may have to click to enlarge to be able to read about it.
I thought this was easier than trying to write about it.
It was a very good book.
It should be a lively discussion tomorrow.
Supper tonight was a delicious salad made by yours truly.

Robin - Thank you. 😊 I have to smile because I just have a little point and shoot camera and I'm not like most photographers who take lots of pictures. I see a something I like, take one picture and then move along. Many times I see people with these huge cameras on tripods trying to get everything perfect. I walk by, snap a picture and walk on.

Another wonderful day in your corner! You guys are getting so much done at HT. I like the license plate idea, too. Your salad looks so good that I am going to make myself one. Seems I am out of bread!
What a cute idea for using Ken's license plate collection. I can hardly wait to see the other side when it is finished and filled with baskets.
You see the neatest things on your walks. Love the horses today.
That book sounds very good and interesting for the times we are in right now.
Yummy to the salad for dinner!
Great photo of the horses. I love the idea of adding the license plates to the bump out! Can't wait to see it when the cabin is all finished. How exciting for you! Dinner looks good. We had a tom/pepper/cuc salad and left over tomato pie.
hugs,
Jann
Hi Karen - I love salads and that one looks delicious! I love the creative way you are using Ken's license plate collection at your cabin. So glad you have had a nice day!
Great use for a license plate collection! And a very nice salad - I love strawberries in a summer salad.
Glad you got your reading done.
Your salad looks delicious.
You're doing well at HT.
Love the horses, but that first photo is my favourite.
Enjoy your day
All the best Jan
Your supper sale looks delicious!. Great photo of the headstone. Almost 200 hundred years old! I have read about the Drane House. Very interesting.
It is surprising what wonderful photos you can take with a point and shoot camera. I have one and a bit better camera that is 9 years old. I couldn't imagine a day not taking any photos!
Have a good day!
Sorry, meant to say supper salad!
Hello, I love the pretty horses. I usually point and shoot too, I do not have a camera with the long lenses. It would be too heavy for me to carry around. Your salad looks yummy. I like your deck railing. Happy Thursday, enjoy your day!
Your salad looks yummy! I love a salad with lots of different things in it. The horses are beautiful. I have a point an shoot as well but I need a better one, I think. Mine is over 10 years old. I always enjoy your photos. Have a great day.
Hello! I read your comment about photography & smiled too as I love taking pictures & recently found having my phone is pretty decent to use. Too much paraphernalia otherwise!
Your salad looks so good & I love the license plates!
My neighbor's horses gallop when the wind blows and gets them inspirted. It is such a beautiful sight. Walked 20 minutes and not far, but better than nothing. Congrats on keeping up your walks, I admire you so.
I don't think anyone has horses near me
