Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Quilt Barn (4)

The Quilt Barn picture for this Monday is on a barn we pass on the way to church.
It is on the barn of Bev and Taylor "Mark" Sines.
The square is a multicolored
Variation Star done in red, yellow, and black.

I'm linking up with Tom on his
🚜     🚜     🚜     🚜
It was 55 degrees this morning and as usual dark.  It was a sunny morning
once the sun came up.
Walked around town today in a route I've named the Perimeter Route.

Kathy was out walking today after not seeing her for over a week and we stopped for a little chat.  Nice to know that she was down by the shore visiting her son and that she wasn't sick or anything.

Farmer Marvin drove by in his truck and stopped to say hi.  I told him about the goats and he laughed.  When I said I wasn't sure how to act around goats,
he laughed and said,
"I don't think anyone knows how to act around them."
I learned from him that the dairy farm is owned by the Benders.
I've met most of the other farmers around town but not him.

Didn't see any animals around today and it was nice not to have the goats
with me today.  😊

Walked 6.3 miles

Ken and I went to look at new trucks today.
I should have known that when we said look we actually meant buy
because we will have a new truck later today if all goes well.
A very good sale was going on and we got a great price for
our blue truck which we traded in.  🚘
We are leaving in a little while to go pick it up.
I'll post pictures tomorrow.

A happy day to you.

John asked me what I would do about the goats next time.
When I approach the dairy farm, if I see the goats out in the road, I'll turn around and go back the other way!! : )

Melanie - Yes, you just put the ingredients on top of each other, no mixing.

What a neat weathered barn with its quilt block, the goldenrod sets it off well. Thanks for sharing this week, I look forward to seeing more from your local quilt barn tour.

Good to know that you didn't encounter any more goats. Although it sounds like you have a good plan if the situation crops up again.
A new truck? How exciting. Can't wait to see it.

I really like that barn. Congrats on getting a new vehicle. As you know from my blog, we bought a new vehicle about two weeks ago and it is still sitting in the garage - we haven't even driven it anywhere yet. Charly wants to wait to drive it until Josh gets home.. I don't enjoy the "car shopping" process and haggling over price etc., but it is always fun to have a new car or truck! Glad you got a great deal!

Yes, I think that in a man's vocabulary - "look" means "buy". I enjoy your barn photos. I miss the country. Your photos remind me of where I grew up in upstate NY. I'm glad you didn't have any goat adventures today. Have a great day!

I've just been catching up on your blog, the story about the goats really made me laugh and I've no idea what else you could have done. What a lot of work you've done on Happy Trails, it looks almost ready to move in. Exciting to see the old bakery is getting a new lease of life, I wonder what it will be? We only buy a 'new' car when one of ours can no longer be fixed but it must be fun to do a trade-in rather than a sad drive to the scrap metal place.

ooh new truck, how exciting!
Kinda sad for us readers that you didn't have any cute cuddly followers today.
Another great barn quilt. I love the barns you have, they all look so huge. Hope you are enjoying your new truck and that Ken has let you have a little drive :)
