Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Hair cut day and Good Fences

This was taken on an early sunny morning with a mist coming off the pond.
I'm linking up with Good Fences this week.
Check out other fences HERE.

Sunrise this morning.

I'm back to wearing short sleeves on my morning walk.  This morning it was 68 degrees.  There was just a glow to the sky when I left but soon the sky lit up with a beautiful sunrise and the sun stayed up in a pretty blue sky.

Made a stop at the post office to drop some mail off in the mail slot and then continued my walk around the Farm Loop.
All quiet at the diary farm this morning and in fact around the whole loop.

Most of the trees are still green but I see one changing colors popping up here and there.

Had a phone call from my son David this morning and had a nice chat with him as I walked.

I continued my walk around the industrial park and then headed home.
Walked 6 miles.

Last night after I'd written yesterday's post Ken and I sat on the front porch and ate some watermelon. 🍉
It had just stopped raining and we looked up in the sky and saw a rainbow.
Here is today produce out of the garden.
I've given quite a few cucumbers to my neighbor and I think she must be getting sick of cucumbers too.   This morning for the first time I've tried making some pickles.  Got a very simple recipe from my friend Bernice.
I'll let you know how they turn out.

I am amazed at this sunflower with so many blooms in my yard.

Well today was the big day for me.  💈
I got my hair cut.  💇
It is really short and I think I like it.
Maybe I'll post a picture in a day or so.

I've just gotten back from getting my hair cut and
now I'm off to the library for my book club meeting.

  A happy day to you.

Your post is a good reminder to me to get outside. We are in the 90s again and I have been hanging out in the A/C. The rainbow, sunrise and autumn leaves are all so pretty.
I do hope you will share your new haircut with us. I remember the last time you went short. I think you look good in any style I've seen on you.
Have fun at book club.

Hello!:) Thank you for your visit and lovely comment.:) Your early morning shots are beautiful, love the gorgeous colours in the sunrise images. Can you get back to me, to tell me what that suspended lilac thing is in your first misty morning shot! We had a glut of cucumbers this year, and it's always nice to discover new recipes. I will watch this space to find out how your pickles turned out.:) Your sunflowers are wonderful. Have a glorious day.
