This morning it was 62 degrees, cloudy and very still.
I walked the Farm Loop.
Passing by the dairy farm a few of the chickens were wandering around and the two goats were there too and they stopped running around to look at me when I passed by. The two of them are always together. I'm sure they get into all kinds of mischief. : )
Instead of walking the rest of my walk around town, I went around the industrial park.
Since it is Saturday it was quiet there and I didn't see anyone.
It is nice that I have a few options of where to walk. I like that I can just walk out the door and go walking.
Walked 6 miles.

Ken went up to Happy Trails again while I stayed at home.
Walked over to the library to pick up the next book to read for the book club.
Had to mow the lawn and wanted to get that done in the morning.
I got the back yard and one side yard done without a problem.
Then I accidentally ran into the a board which edges the mulch and then

the mower wasn't cutting right and the grass started bunching up.
After a while I noticed the deck with the blades was very low to the ground.
I got the mower back up to the shed and by then the deck was on the ground.

Tried mowing the rest of the lawn with the push mower but that didn't seem to be cutting the grass very good either. Blades must be dull. Besides the self propelled part is broken and it was hard pushing it around.
So I called Ken and he came home lunch time.
He tried to get the deck back on the mower but it was heavy and he couldn't see good so he went back up to HT and brought the tractor home.
Even with the tractors help we couldn't get it back on.

One of the brackets was bent which holds it on.
So that was the end of the mowing for the day.
That will teach me to slow down a bit!!
We had a fast and heavy rain shower and I had forgotten to close the window in the dining room. Table, chair and rug in got soaking wet.
Funny thing the sun was shining too.
I was too busy out the back door taking a picture of the rain. : )
They say things happen in threes.
Wonder what else I'll do today. : )
Hope your day was a happy one.

This is the tallest of my sunflowers. Must be at least 9 feet tall. |

Here's hoping the third thing never happens unless it's a good thing. The yard is so pretty with the picnic table and the water. I hope you can get your mower fixed. Have a great evening.
Hello, I hope nothing more happens. The goat and chicken shot is cute. The sunflower is beautiful, I like the quote too. Happy weekend to you!
Hope you didn't do something else! Two problems is enough!
Love the last two photos! It is pretty neat when it rains when the sun is shining! I also like the roadside photo with the fog and the bean field. I messed up our push mower earlier this summer when I mowed into our cherry bush--disconnected the gas line I think. Glad my more mechanically-inclined family members were able to fix it. Hope your mower is back into working condition again soon!
The carpets wildly out and you got a fabulous picture.Got to look for the positives in every day.I am pretty sure you do that.
Oh gosh, I sure hope the third thing never happens. Two is plenty for one day. At least your pictures cooperated. They are all lovely.
Nothing that cant be handled. Put fans on the carpet. If it drys within 24 hours you will be fine. If not mildew could set in (this would be your #3). The grass will be fine.

My lawn mower is giving me far more trouble than it usually does. I hate summer
Some-days you never know what may happen!
Lovely selection of pictures again.
All the best Jan
