Polk a dot butterfly

Wasn't able to find out what kind of butterfly or moth this little polk-a-dot one was on my cone flowers.  It was quite small.
A couple flowers over a bee is enjoying this one.

It was cloudy this morning, 65 degrees, and still.  Some little bits of blue peaking out of those clouds too though.

No mapped out route today, just walked all over the place.
Kathy was out walking around town and we ran into each other a few time.  We walked in the same places just not at the same time.
I saw Joyce (George's Wife) walking back from Hartman's and I walked a short ways with her till I turned off and went up to the cemetery.

I've noticed quite a lot of houses in town getting new shingles on their roofs and today another house is getting them.

This house was sold last year and it was just a plain looking blue house.  I've watched them work on it for the past year.  A garage was added, new pale green siding replaced the washed out blue, a little porch and the flower boxes gave it a little character.  I think they did a wonderful job with it.  I love the arched door and right now there are a few different colors on it while they decided what color to paint it.  I wonder which one they will pick?
 I walked 6.4 miles.
The coins I found during the month of July were
3 quarters
3 dimes
7 pennies
Total $1.12

Ken spent the day up at Happy Trails working on getting the outside siding on.  Still waiting on those slab boards but he got the back done with the siding.

I stayed home and did LOTS of laundry.  No rain showers in the forecast today so was able to get all but one load of wash done.

I've been dead heading some of the daisies today too.  With so many daisies there is a lot of that to do!!  Also with so many daisies I've been able to continually keep a vase of fresh daisies on my kitchen table.  : )

We went out to Brenda's for salads for supper.  No more half price pizza there for a while.  They only do that when most of the tourists go home.

So that's been my Monday.
Hope you day was a happy one.

My step-brother Chris is having back surgery tomorrow.  Please add him to your prayers.  Thanks so much.

The butterfly is so sweet, even if we don't know it's name. Love Cone flowers! Thank goodness they are hanging on in my garden with this heat. A lot of other plants have went kaput! Love the home! Sounds like you had a wonderful walk!
hugs,
Jann

Hopefully the rain will stop here so I can get my washing out to dry.
Your photos of the cone flowers are gorgeous. This is the first year I have grown them and I love them. I do hope they survive and multiply.
The house is gorgeous, I would love to live there. We can but dream :)

Monday's are always a heavy laundry day with me too! I was able to line dry mine in a few hours yesterday as it was mild here.
Lovely to see the flowers attracting bees & butterflies.
Have a great day!

That little polka dotted butterfly is so sweet.
I hope you will keep us posted on the color they choose for that front door. The house is darling.
Glad to hear you were able to get your laundry dried with no rain showers. That's a nice way to start the week.

Lovely photos. My son in TN has the most gorgeous purple coneflowers and I snapped many pics of them. I think I found your cute little moth/butterfly: http://mothphotographersgroup.msstate.edu/contrib_living.php?init=BMoul&page=3

I love cone flowers too and they really attract the bees and the butterflies and also gold finches for the seeds.

I have one more load out there drying now. : )
I don't even own a dryer so I need those nice sunny days. : )

I think you're right it's a White Spotted Sable Moth. Thanks.

Debby sent me to a link and I'm pretty sure its a White Spotted Sable Moth. I looked up the 8 spotted forester and that looks a bit bigger than mine. Thanks for the input.

I must have some great daisies because they just keep blooming all summer. After I dead head them more flowers come out.
Thank you. Hopefully I'll hear from his wife when the surgery is over.

What a pretty butterfly. Most moths don't come out during the day, and their antenna are more feathery. That's a great photo.

A quick google search turned up a Danaid Egg Fly as the butterfly that's on your coneflowers. I've never seen one.

It could be that but it looks like a White Spotted Sable moth too. Someone else said an Eight Spotted Forester moth.
