Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself;
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today.
I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet.
I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it.
~Groucho Marx

This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

A cute little shed

✿     ✿     ✿     ✿
I left right at 6:30, my usual time and it was 60 degrees.
I was easily seen wearing my very bright orange shirt.

Walked the Farm Loop.
There were some low hanging clouds around but the sun was out too.
I'm about a mile from home here when I took this picture and will
be turning right a little ways up the road.
Today the goats were by the front of the barn and there was
a cow out there with them.
The chickens were all running about there too.

Once back to town I made a loop around town and one of the cemeteries.

No people about today.
Walked 6.3 miles.
Sunrise 6:41
Sunset 7:55

Made pancakes for breakfast even though I had them for supper yesterday at
iHop.  Four came with the order but I could only eat one of them.  Very filling.  Don't see how anyone could eat all four of them!! The best part was the raspberries, sauce and white chocolate sauce on it.
The pancake itself was just okay and I like Bisquick ones at home better.

After breakfast Ken headed up to Happy Trails.
I had to stay home and bake chocolate chip cookies.
It is my turn to bake the cookies for the kids at Sunday school tomorrow.
I baked 120 of them.

Ken came home for lunch and after lunch I went up to HT too.
I didn't do very much.
Added a little dead fall to the fence
and then I just sat in a chair in the shade and enjoyed the outdoors.

When we came home we grilled hamburgers outside for supper
and ate some more cucumber salad.
A happy day to you.

Jann - Chris is my step-brother not my son.
My son is David and nothing is wrong with his back. : )  In fact he can walk circles around me!!!

Debbie - I've seen these types of fences before.  It is just a good way to get rid of the dead fall.

RC - No, I didn't know that about ihop.  Thanks.

About my hair - Thanks for your input.  I've pretty much decided to go ahead and get it cut. I still want to talk to Sherry about it though.  She knows what I will like more than I do!  : )

  1. [raises hand] I can eat 4 pancakes!

  2. I love the view of mountainsides with all farm animals in sight. The nature just looks so refreshing. :)

  3. Hello, lovely views. I would love to have the dinner plate hibiscus growing in my yard. My hubby can eat a lot of pancakes, he usually finishes my plate. Great quote! Happy Sunday, enjoy your new week ahead!

  4. It sounds like nice pleasant temps to walk in. I haven't had pancakes at IHOP in ages. The raspberry and chocolate ones sound very tempting! Have a wonderful Sunday.

  5. Good luck with your hair decision.
I'm sure some little girl loves that gorgeous little shed.
Have a wonderful new week :)

  6. That shed is so cute. I love the flowers around it too, they are lovely colours.
Good luck with your hair decision ...

    All the best Jan

  7. Cute little shed although it looks more like a little cottage.... I have a friend who had a little shed about that size and she has it all 'purdied up' and calls it her "Woman Cave"... She has all kinds of her craft stuff in her shed... ha

I am a short-hair person --so you know how much I'd love to see yours short.... Loved that picture of you with shorter hair---but you are pretty, with your hair either length.

Have a great week...I published a blog post today.

Hello my friend.
