Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Weeding

✿     ✿     ✿     ✿
68 degrees this morning under cloudy skies and there was a nice breeze.  I did see a few peeks of blue sky and sun every so often.

Walked the Farm Loop.  The corn is tall enough now that when the winds blows I can hear it rustling through the corn.  It has a nice sound to it.

The back road along the FL is about 2 miles and today not one car came down it and I walked right down the middle of the road on the yellow lines.
Farmer Bill was out and we had another little chat.  He told me his tomatoes will soon be ready for eating.  He started them early in his big green house.  His bean crop is coming along nicely and I'm looking forward to picking some fresh beans when they are ready.

I saw Lee, the older man who rides his bike every morning and once again he gave me a couple of those mint candies.

When I got back to the main road in town I walked down and back on the road between the main road and the industrial park and then went up the hill behind my house before getting back home.

I walked 6 miles.

Ken was gone when I got home.  He loaded up the tractor on the trailer and went to church.  Three truck loads of mulch are there waiting to get spread around and the tractor makes quick work of it.

I had some yard work back home of my own to do and got the lawn mowed.  Then I spent a few hours weeding three of the gardens.  It was pretty warm in the sun but the breeze felt good and once I got in the shade it was nice and cool.

Have to clean up my office/craft room.  Since I moved things around in the house, everything I didn't know what do with now sits in this room.  I'm hoping to find a place for it all right in this room.  It will be a challenge because this room is pretty small.

That's about it for today.
Ken is due home soon and then we'll have Tacos for supper.

Hope your day has been a happy one.

Is that a Yucca in your first photo?

Well done on the weeding ... sometimes they grow better than flowers!

Enjoy your supper ...

All the best Jan

Did you feel like a bit of a rebel walking down that centre line?

I think I would really enjoy walking your farm loop. For it to be quiet enough to hear the wind blowing through the corn. Wonderful!

Nice big Yucca in bloom! We have one in our garden that looks like it's going to bloom for the first time this year.

After looking it up, yes, I do believe that it is a Yucca.

I didn't know what the name of the flower was till I looked it up. I think I'll get a couple for my yard too.

Good morning, pretty yucca plant. I love the shot of the road and double yellow lines. It has been hot and humid here, today may be cooler. Happy Sunday, enjoy your day and the new week ahead!

Love today's photos Karen, especially the road one.
You make me feel guilty about not weeding my garden this week. My excuse is it has been so hot!

Gosh, we live in a fairly small town, but still wouldn't know what it would feel like to be able to walk right down the yellow lines now days. Wonderful!

Only a little over 300 people live between the town signs. A lot different from where we moved from!!
