Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Friday

✿     ✿     ✿     ✿

68 degrees this morning, cloudy and looked like rain but soon the sun was shining.

Wasn't sure where I wanted to walk this morning when I stepped outside but my feet took me around the Farm Loop.   I'm glad I went that way because it was beautiful and peaceful.

Saw a few bunnies, a couple of deer and a ground hog along the way.
An older gentleman passed me riding his bicycle up the hill.

The corn is now about 18 inches tall and looks nice and healthy.  We've gotten a good amount of sun and rain so far.
Back in town I saw Kathy again as I made a loop around town and the ball park.

Walked 6.4 miles.

It's been a while since Ken had breakfast with Edd and then went to the sale (auction) so it was nice he got to do that this morning.  He also stopped at Walmart on the way home and did the shopping this week.

I made some macaroni salad for this evening.  We are going to meet up with some friends at Tricia and Randy's house for supper and an evening of playing Mexican Train.

Took a little walk to the bank and on the way back stopped in at the library to say hi to Connie.

Spent a couple of hours out in the front yard this afternoon doing some more weeding.  Seems like it never gets done but I don't mind and it is nice to be outside on a nice day.  It was in the 70's and sunny with a bit of a breeze.  It clouded up at one point and the rain came pouring down.  Rained for about 10 minutes and then the sun came back out.

Better go and get ready for our evening out.
A happy day to you.

Beautiful photo of you and your daughter. It is always wonderful to pop into your blog and see your photos. Such a contrast to what we call home.

Awww, that is such a sweet picture of you and your daughter.
Your day sounds like a nice one. I am now thinking I need to take note of the corn's progress around here.
I totally can relate to the weeding topic. A never ending chore it seems.

Love that picture of you two. Where have the years all flown?

Now I must go back to see how your visit went with your son home for a bit.

I love the photo with your daughter!
And also the corn picture. The fields land have less red color here. O yes, and about snowball bushes: He likes moist place in nutritious, humus-rich soil. It is recommended to sprinkle in the summer, peat or tree bark around the foot of the plant, in order to prevent evaporation.

You and Debbi are very cute!
I had some great macaroni salad for lunch. Did you know that a scoop of mac salad is a staple of the Hawaiian plate lunch?
