Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Back to NY

Sorry no pictures today. No walk this morning because we left early this morning and we've been in the car driving all day and have arrived back in New York.  Made a stop to see my Mom at the nursing home and she is doing quite well.  Seems happy and glad to be there.

My step-dad is in the same nursing home and we stopped in to see him too.  Stayed awhile but he was sleeping and we didn't want to wake him so we will see him tomorrow.  He has lost a lot more weight in the week that we've been gone.   My step-brother Chris came up too and we are staying at the house.  It has been nice getting to know him again.  He is 10 years younger than me.

We had a late supper at the pizza place in town.

I hope to be taking a morning walk and will try to blog.

A happy day to you.

You're in my prayers, look after yourselves while you look after your old folk.

Praying for you and your family. Looking forward to more photos of NY. I grew up in upstate NY. Pretty country!

I guess I have missed a few posts. I am glad to hear that your mother is improving. It sounds as though you have been making a lot of trips back and forth? Take good care of yourself too, friend :)

Glad that everything is going well with your parents. We have a similar situation with aging parents in assisted living. I'm hoping your parents will find friendships and a renewed interest in life with a new setting. Best wishes to you too. I know how hard it can be on the kids in the situation.
