Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

The last few pictures from NY

✿     ✿     ✿     ✿
Walking this morning it was 58 degrees and sunny.  Another beautiful day.

I walked straight through town and headed down the road toward Happy Trails and turned off the main road.  Went along there and turned around at the road at the turn off to HT.

Took this picture heading back to the  main road.  There is a stream that runs along  on the other side of the flowers.  Nice walking and listening to the water running over the rocks.
It was then back to the main road and back to town.  Once there I walked around one of the cemeteries and the ball park loop and then home.

Saw Kathy out walking this morning around the ball park loop.

I walked 6.1 miles.
Coins found during the month of May.
Only 24 cents - 2 dimes, 4 pennies.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes. : )

Haven't been bowling in two weeks and it was nice to get back to that today.  There were quite a few of us there today. 10 of us plus 2 little kids.
I got to use my gift certificate. : )
My scores today were not great and not too bad either.  Didn't even come close to my high score record.

Got home a bit later than usual because there were so many of us.  So I ended up mowing the lawn after supper.  Also did a little bit of weeding.

We have have a lot of little red squirrels and chipmunks coming to the bird feeders.  We have set a few traps and when we catch something in it we let it out up in the woods at Happy Trails.

Well, I'm in for the night now.  Looking forward to my ice cream a bit later.
A happy day to you.

Hi Happyone, First of all, belated Happy Birthday wishes for you. May your whole year be a good one. I smiled when you mentioned baby back ribs and baked potatoes ... we had the very same thing here on Monday. Now, stepping back to your post on Sunday, May 29, the Reflection in NY picture is just amazing. Truly great and you should submit it for a calendar! In your Monday post I liked the different shades of green on the tree. Now, today's post ... well, I'm just noticing a new header ... very, very nice! Your last few pictures from NY are good but, at least in my opinion, the area there doesn't have the same wonderful beauty as around your hometown. Have a great week ahead!

The mist rising on the water made for one gorgeous photo! Wishing you a belated birthday. Sounds like it was a beautiful day. We are having gorgeous weather and I love spending time in the garden.

How lovely to have red squirrels and chipmunks come visit. We have grey squirrels here but they don't come into our garden fortunately :)
Have a great Thursday.

I so agree with that quote, of course I can't walk as far you any longer, but just getting out and moving around for half an hour or so makes all the difference in the day that follows. Happy belated birthday. I missed it, but hope it was great.
