Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

No walk

Picture taken a few days ago when the sun was out.
✿     ✿     ✿     ✿
It was 50 degrees this morning and rainy and I didn't get out and walk.  Not because of the weather though.  Ken was sick this morning and I didn't feel comfortable leaving him home alone.  He is fine now though so need to worry. : )

Some of you mentioned 'Him' talking about my dentist, it's actually a 'Her.' : )  The hygienist is a woman too.  I think I prefer woman doctors.

I thought maybe I'd take my walk in the afternoon but never got around to it.  It was a rainy day and for some reason it is hard for me to get out there and walk if I don't do it first thing in the morning.

Didn't do all that much around the house either.  The only work I did was to vacuum.  I'm reading the next book in the Louise Penny series with Chief Inspector Armand Gamache.  The title of this one is The Cruelest Month and it is another Three Pines Mystery.  I'm liking this one too.

The latest baby blanket I'm working on for the Baby Blanket Ministry at churh is another weave-it square one.   It takes 70 squares to make a new born blanket.  10 rows of 7 squares.  I have 28 squares done so far and sewn up.
Most of you know about my weave-it squares but those of you who are new to my blog can read more about them if you click on the "Weave-its" link at the bottom of the posts.

That's it for today.
A happy day to you.

What a pretty picture of the goldfinches.
I'm happy to hear that Ken is feeling better.
Love the colors you chose for this blanket. I can just picture a sweet little baby wrapped up in it.

Well I guess that's a good reason to miss gour walk! We love the Louise Penny mysteries too.

Sometimes it's good to just have a day at home with not much going on! You probably need some time to recharge. Love the blanket!

It doesn't hurt to stay in and rest a day. My husband doesn't like to miss a day of walking no matter the weather. He takes a 5 mile walk every morning. I just do a small 3 mile walk in the afternoons and glad it rains in my path some days. Thank goodness that Ken is Ok.

Lovely birds you have in your garden.
Glad to hear Ken is feeling better, nothing worse than your man feeling poorly. Happy Thursday :)

I think I am more comfortable seeing women doctors too.
