Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A tiny egg

Walking in NY

✿     ✿     ✿     ✿
A warm 60 degrees this morning and sunny as I walked around the Farm Loop. Everything is so green and pretty.  How thankful I am that I get to walk here each day.
The dairy cows were out again in the front pasture.  Didn't see Ruth today though.  I love how these cows have names and are not just numbers.

I cut through Farmer Marvin's farm road and went directly to the cemetery near the Drane house.  The geese and the goslings, which are getting pretty big already, were in the pond there.

I came across this tiny little blue egg.  I put a penny in the picture to give it perspective.  Maybe its a hummingbird egg?
Walked one loop around the two cemeteries and the ball park loop before heading back home.
Walked 6.3 miles.

No breakfast for me this morning.  Had to go over to Uniontown to get my blood work done.  They woman who took my blood did a great job.  Didn't feel a thing and she took 5 vials of blood.  My appointment was for 10:00 but we got there early at 9:30 and I went right in.  No waiting at all.  Nice that I was able to have it done here and not go back down to where we used to live.  Now just have to wait for the results.  Maybe I'll learn something about my numb feet.

Afterward we walked around Holly Lobby and I got two cotton balls of yarn (blue and yellow) on sale to make some more wash clothes.

Finally 11:00 arrived we went to Olive Garden for soup, salad, and bread sticks for an early lunch.  Sure was nice to be able to finally eat!!

On the way home we stopped at McDonald's and got ice cream cones.   Only 49cents.

Going to a BBQ in just a little while, and it's also a surprise birthday party for our friend Bettye.  : )

A happy day to you.

Great pictures.I'm no expert, but I think that egg may still be too big for a Hummingbird.

My that was a tiny little egg.
Lucky you to actually get in for an appt. early. Most times they make you wait & wait. Sounds like you are busy with the BBQ - Hope you have a good time.

What a tiny and beautiful little egg. Don't you LOVE that color?
It's hard to fast for blood work. Olive Garden was the perfect choice for a hungry lunch.

I really hope that they can figure out what is up with the numbness, Happy-K. I know that it's frustrating to have something going on medically that can't be explained. Thinking of you.

I really enjoy Olive Garden's soup and salad! I'm glad your blood draw went well. I've had good and bad experiences and always profusely thank the one who does the good job! Beautiful photo of NY. Have a great weekend.

Your walking route looks so pretty at this time of year.
I'm not sure what type of egg you found, but it sure is cute. I'm curious to know what you did with it. I have a few that we've found over the years and I put them in a little nest which is on display in my living room.
Glad to know that your blood draw went smoothly. Olive Garden sounds like the ideal spot to have lunch afterwards.

Are you sure that "egg" is not a jelly bean?
Glad you got your blood work done. Hoping and praying for good results.
I like Olive Garden too, especially the bread sticks!
Enjoy your weekend!

Hello, pretty scenic views and photos. It is nice when you do not feel anything when they are drawing blood. That egg is tiny. Olive Garden does have great soup and salad. Wishing you a safe and happy Memorial Day weekend!
