Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A vase of yellow

Can you spot the hidden broken rake in this picture?

A warm morning walk today with a temperature of 50 degrees.  A bit of a breeze and it was cloudy.

Had a nice walk all over town, up and down all the streets in no particular pattern.  Walked down towards Happy Trails and back up the hill again.  Here I am getting back to town.
No other people around but I did see cardinals, a couple of killdeer, the flicker again in the same place as yesterday's picture, and quite a few red winged blackbirds.

Walked 6.4 miles.
Didn't find any coins today and the count for the month of March was not very much.
Only 32 cents, a quarter and 7 pennies.

Got a meat loaf started in the slow cooker first thing this morning after breakfast.  Nice having supper started early in the day. : )

Picked some of those daffodils growing in my yard and some forsythia too and brought the pretty color inside the house.  The vase is one that Ken got in a box of junk at the auction for $1.

It's been a home day for me just doing a bit of this and that around the house.

We've had a bit of rain and sun throughout the day.  It was too windy to do any yard work so I jut walked around the yard looking at things.

I got a little more reading done and I'm enjoying this 4th book of the Outlander series.

Hope your day has been a happy one and that you smiled often.

It is definitely a good feeling to have dinner all prepared early in the day. Here it is 5:30 and I'm clueless as to what we'll be having :/.
Your vase of yellow is a very pretty sight.

Nope - can't spot the broken rake. Your dinner sounds great. I've never made meat loaf in a crock pot. Have a great evening.

When I seen the headline "vase of yellow" I knew it would be this plant. I love the yellow bells. I usually will make a vase for the table around Easter but my neighbor cut hers down so I didn't have any to cut from. I love the picture of the white church.

Found it! The rake fits in well, but the tiny bit of blue metal gave it away. :)

I just read this and thought you'd enjoy it:

Had to look twice, but I found the rake - without most of its handle.

Beautiful vase of yellow daffodils and forsythia. I had to enlarge the picture, then I found the rake. Congrats on more books of Romans being collated. Busy, busy, busy!

I always enjoy the description of your walks and especially your photos. Love that church picture. It's really windy here today and supposed to be freezing temps tonight and tomorrow night....I think this is dogwood winter! ;-)
