Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A new crock pot

✿     ✿     ✿     ✿
40 degrees this morning with sun and clouds and windy too. I was up and out walking by 6:30 this morning.  I'm finally starting to wake up early again.  I like leaving at this time. : )

Walked all over and around town.  Kind of stuck to one of my walking routes but did make a few changes.

I know I've taken pictures of this part of the road before but I like how the fence curves around the bend especially now with the forsythia in bloom.

The man who walks his big white dog was the only person I saw out this morning.  Pretty quiet around town.

Walked 6.2 miles.
Found the first coin for the month, a penny.

Mid morning we left for Uniontown, Pa and spent most of the day there.  I thought with all the stores there that I'd be able to find my denim skirt but didn't have any luck.  Goodwill did have some but only in huge sizes.  Found some short ones but already have a short one.  I'm looking for a longer one.  Will probably just have to order one on line.

Had a half sandwich for lunch in Panera's which was very good, turkey with cranberries on a flat bread.  I'd get it again!!

Didn't come home empty handed though.  I got another crock pot.  Needed a bigger one and this one is a 6 quart one.  What I like about this one is that it is made for easy transporting.  The lid locks in place.
It's supper time and I'm off to find something to eat.

A happy day to you.

BettyC - Yes, that is a good saying and one I like.  : ) I've heard various versions of it.

 There is no bad weather,
just incorrect clothing choices.

Did a little research and discovered that it is originally a Norwegian or Scandinavian saying which says,
There is no bad weather, just bad clothing.
Seems that the words weather and clothing in Norwegian/Scandinavian rhyme.  Helen, if you're reading this, can you confirm that? : )

Don't just love a slow cooker.... the aroma fills the house for hours on end of your meal cooking... and they are just so easy.

Very nice crock pot! Isn't that way - when you're looking for something specific, you can't find it! If you didn't want a denim skirt, you'd find them all over the place!

Hi Karen, I still haven't found a skirt yet. Hopefully when we go to Kim's in two weeks I will find one in her city!
Nice slow cooker! Gorgeous photos.

It is looking very spring-like on your walk.
It doesn't seem like it would be that hard to find a denim skirt. I hope you have luck soon. Are you wanting it for a special occasion?
Your new crock pot looks similar to the one I bought a few years ago, but mine doesn't lock. That is a great feature if you will be transporting it.

What a great crockpot! I use my old one all the time. Bill scrubs it afterwards. Yay!
It looks like you had a lovely walk.

Hello, I like the pretty fence scene. I love to use my crock pot, I need to gind more recipes. It is cold and very windy here today. We need more clothing on, to keep warm. Happy Sunday, enjoy your new week ahead!

Hi, Glad you found such a nice crock pot. Sorry you didn't find your skirt... We can't find much in our small town --and have to drive to Knoxville to shop sometimes. I order online about 80% of the time these days...

Have a blessed Sunday.
Hugs,
Betsy

What a nice crock pot! I've never seen one that locks, such a great idea! If I lived near you I think I would secretly go ahead of you along your walking route and drop lots of change so that you would have the best day ever for finding coins. If only I lived nearby....

Well the weather forecasters said it could be the warmest Sunday of the year so far in the UK ... we will have to wait and see.

Your walk looks lovely, great colours in your photo's.

Crock-pots are so good aren't they, I wonder what your first dish will be when you use this new pot?

Enjoy the remainder of Sunday and hope the coming new week will be a good one for you.

All the best Jan
