Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Saturday

Good Morning
✿     ✿     ✿     ✿

39 degrees this morning and sunny on my walk.  A beautiful morning for walking.  My walk today took me around town, the two cemeteries and the ball park loop.

At one of the cemeteries there were a few rabbits hopping around.
Peggy was out walking with her dog again on the ball park loop.

It is really nice to hear all the birds in the morning.  During the winter you don't hear them and not until you hear them again come spring, do you realize how much you missed them.

I walked down to the small industrial park in town and walked around there for a couple of miles before heading back home.

Walked 6.2 miles.
Found a penny.

Ken went to the auction this morning and came home with a few goodies for me.  A nice glass vase, 5 blue and white plates, and a cardinal plate all for only 75 cents.  I am sorry to say though that when I was washing the cardinal plate I dropped it in the sink and now there is a big chip in it.
I'm looking forward to when I can put some daffodils or forsythia from the yard in the vase.

Started reading another book, Leaving Time by Jodi Picoult.  It got my interest right away.

Thanks everyone for the parsnip comments.  Was going to make them for supper tonight but we went out to eat this evening.  Didn't feel like driving up to Uniontown or Morgantown so we went to Uno's because it is just up the road in Deep Creek.
We also stopped in at Lowe's and bought the paint for my kitchen project of painting the cabinets.  I am anxious to get started.

I've waited all week for my ice cream and boy do I look forward to having some tonight.
A happy day to you.

My Three Happy Times
  1. Being outside to see the sunrise
  2. The laundry was finished.  Opened up the lid.  A tissue got washed.  The happy part is that it didn't come all apart but was in 3 large pieces.
  3. Finding a lucky penny

Good morning, what a beautiful sunrise. A gorgeous start to you day. Sorry about the Cardinal plate, it is pretty. I love hearing the birds singing in the morning. Expecting some snow today into tomorrow. Stay warm, enjoy your weekend.

What a nice find your husband came home with. Too bad about the chip in the cardinal plate. Hopefully it doesn't show much and the plate is so lovely, it could easily be overlooked. Don't you hate to find bits of tissue in your washer! Have a great day.

So sorry about your cardinal plate! Gorgeous sunrise photo.
I washed a tissue in my wash yesterday but I wasn't as lucky as you were. I picked tissue bits for an hour! Or so it seemed.

Oh bummer about the plate. I did that to the saucer of my favorite tea cup set from John. I am saving the pieces...actually sitting on the dining table in a bowl waiting. I really should just dispatch them. The likelihood of my actually piecing it all back together is not good, but Kenny can probably put that chunk back in nicely.
