Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Rain and sun

✿     ✿     ✿     ✿

A morning for wearing my rain slicker and rain pants.  It wasn't raining hard, just a misty light rain but it lasted for my whole walk.  It was warm at 54 degrees and no wind to speak of.  Can't complain of the rain because the last few days the weather has been perfect.  Besides it is nice to walk in the rain every so often.  : )

A lot of times when I walk around town I just have a random walk but today I walked one of the routes that I've mapped out.

No one else out and about walking or running on this early Friday morning.
Lots and lots of worms around on the sidewalks and roads which I see often when it rains.  I looked up the reason why they do this. I always thought it was because when the ground got so wet they would drown. But that is NOT the reason.  If you care to read about it click HERE.

Walked 6.2 miles.

While listening to an audio book I finished the latest weave-it Baby Blanket for the church baby blanket ministry this afternoon.
I'm now working on finishing a knitted baby blanket that I started.

Mid morning the rain moved off and we had another sunny day.  Not as warm as it has been but nice, and I enjoyed being out in the yard for a while.

I haven't had any ice cream all week and look forward to having a bowl of it later tonight!!

That's it for today.

A happy day to you.

Hi Karen - that baby blanket reminds me of the one you made for my grand daughter a few years ago. I think I missed the post where you explained the baby blanket ministry. Where are the blankets going? I think that is a marvelous way to help someone in need. We sure could use some rain out here, so please send some our way. ;-) Have a good evening.

I got some strawberry shortcake bars and my wife didn't notice I had gotten them while we were at the dollar tree. She then demanded the right to the last one left. I should have gotten more

I don't mind the rain but I do dislike wet knees!
Your baby blanket is delightful, what do you do with them at the church?
Have a lovely weekend :)

No ice cream all week? I'll bet it tasted especially good last night.
I am curious about those worms but I'll come back and read about it as I am currently eating breakfast.

Bit worried that barn might topple over in the next wind storm.
