Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Painting

✿     ✿     ✿     ✿
39 degrees this morning with sun and clouds when I took my morning walk today.  I left at 6:20 the same time as Ken left for his day on the ATV.

I walked around town, the cemeteries, and the ball park loop.  When it was still dark I saw a few rabbits hopping around and the only part I saw of them was their little white tails.  : )

Didn't see any people walking this morning.  I was a little earlier than usual so that could be why I didn't see Peggy today.
Got a picture of the morning moon.
I walked 6.2 miles.
Found a penny.

Started right after breakfast with the cabinet project.
It is taking a LOT longer than I thought it would to paint the cabinets.  I spent the WHOLE day on this project.  I really thought I could do it in two days, but that is not to be.  It has been a lot more work than I anticipated but I'm still glad I'm doing it.

I've sanded, primed and it is taken three coats of the white enamel to cover.  I've just gotten one section done with the doors back on.  I hope to finish the next part tomorrow.  Doors laying on the table as well as the part on the wall still need another two coats.   I'm thinking I'll do the bottom cabinets and the other side of the kitchen another time.  I think after two days of painting I will need a break.
I've had a long day and I'm tired but feel good that soon I'll have my white kitchen.
Wasn't going to post anything today because it's late but I did say I'd post a picture of my progress.

Hope your day has been a happy one.
I'm off to bed.
Pleasant dreams.

I already like what you've done! I'm thinking that when you see the top half done in white, you'll probably start on the bottom half soon. Good job!

Looks great so far! Although I am a big fan of natural wood, I'm also a fan of white kitchens. It will look so much brighter! :)

I imagine you slept very well last night.
I appreciate you taking the time to share your progress with us despite the late hour.
It looks so nice already. What a light, bright transformation this will be for spring. We had dark wood (70s) cupboards in our last house. When we built our house my number one want was white kitchen cupboards. It always feels light and cheery to me. The only downside is that the spills show more. Nothing that a swipe with the dishrag can't take care of.
Happy Easter to you and Ken.

The white cupboards look nice and bright. I 'upgraded' my pine kitchen by replacing the brass door knobs with white china ones (from China).
