Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A cozy corner

I saw this rabbit about 15 feet off the road on the other side of the guard rail and zoomed in a bit to take the picture.  I couldn't tell if it was dead or just hiding thinking I couldn't see him.

This morning was cloudy but dry with no wind and 46 degrees. Walked all around town with no particular route in mind.

At one of the cemeteries a grave stone was knocked over.  There was only one so it wasn't vandals but I'm wondering how such a heavy stone fell over.

As I was walking up from the Drane house, Farmer Marvin was driving his truck and stopped along side me.  He asked if I kept track of all the miles I walked and I told him I walk 6 miles a day.  His reply was, "I take my hat off to you."  Then he gave me his card and told me that he is always floating around his fields and told me to call if I ever needed any help.  He said you never know.  I took his card and thanked him.  I thought that was so nice of him.  Great to live in a place with nice, friendly caring people. The name of his farm is Rolling Vale Farms and on his card it says, "Helping Feed the  World, One Acre at a Time."

I saw one person running and one riding a bike through town.
The usual birds were out singing their happy tunes. : )
I walked 6.3 miles.

Had to get some housework done today.  Kept putting if off this week till here we are on Saturday and couldn't put it off any longer because I ran out of days. : ) I changed the curtains in our bedroom and put a chair by the window and made a nice cozy corner. Hard to get a good picture with the two windows.  Later in the afternoon with housework done I sat there and read for a little while.
I have put the ingredients for pizza dough in the bread machine and look forward to having homemade pizza for supper.

Nothing planned for this evening.  Just a nice evening at home.

Hope your day is a happy one.
happyone : )
My Three Happy Times

Deb and Prunella - The baby blankets the women at church make are for newborn babies in the local hospital.  A couple of women take the blankets to the hospital and visit with the new mom's.  Give them a blanket and a card and invite them to our church if they haven't a church to go to.  Most people are happy to have a visit and a blanket. : )
The blankets are made out of two pieces of fleece that are cut in strips around the edges and then tied.  I tried making them like that but didn't care for it so I had to be different and make my own kind of blankets. : )  So I make weave-it and knitted blankets.

Kim - I'm only having ice cream now once or twice a week.  I've put on a few pounds and cutting back on the ice cream seems the best way to lose them.

My hat's off to you too...6 miles a day is a lot! I walked yesterday with a friend for the first time in a while, and I'm sore. Lol!

That was nice of your farmer friend. Hope you don't need the help but good to have him out there if you do.

My sister-in-law has a bread machine. I didn't like the one she made with it.

Such a cozy bedroom! I like that chair and have been looking for one like that for my bedroom. Love the quilt too! I sure do envy the places you have to walk. Have a lovely day.

I am pretty sure that bunny is just taking a little snooze. I hope! You created a very cozy reading corner. Bet the reading there is fine. I do think Farmer Marvin is a wonderful neighbor to have. What a sweet gesture!

Love the bunny capture, he probably thinks you can't see him!
What a lovely thing to do with your blankets. If I was a knew mum I'd love a visit and a home made blanket.
Have a wonderful week with hugs from Prunella :)
