I was home today getting some house cleaning done.
It's been flurrying on and off all day but we have seen a couple minutes here and there of sunshine too.
To say thank you to her I've knitted a couple of dish/wash clothes for her.
Hope you like them Nellie!
Late this morning I bundled up and walked over to the post office and mailed off the package to Nellie. That's the post office up there on the left. Then I made my way over to the library to drop off a book and to pick up one that I had put on hold. Also got an audio book to listen to while I knit. Here's our friendly town library. : )
It was a bit icy in places and I almost fell twice but managed to stay on my feet. Good thing I didn't try to take my normal morning walk.
When I got home I made us tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch. mmmm good. : )
Then it was time to get back to my housework.
Our pastor is in New Zealand for almost two weeks for a revival and tonight we took Kathy, his wife out to dinner. Thought she could use a nice dinner out. : ) We went to Uno's and had a lovely dinner and time out.
Back home now for our usual evening at home.
Hope you smiled often today.
happyone : )

You are so nice. I hope you make lots of bread
Brrrrrrrr! I hope it warms up soon! Yay for a new cookbook and your sweet thank you to Nellie!
Those icy conditions are dangerous.Do be careful when you're out there.
isn't Uno's a pizza place. I've seen a frozen brand by the same name
We have a bread machine, love home cooked bread.
Mmm, you've made me crave toasted cheese sandwiches for lunch.
Have a great weekend Happyone :)
What a nice friend to send you that book :) And I know she will love her cloth -- I love mine :) Have you ever read any books by Louise Penny? They are mysteries and are excellent and take place in a lovely setting in Canada. They are a series and if you try them, I would definitely suggest reading them in order. The first one is called "Still Life"
Hello, I am sure the homemade bread will be delicious. What a nice friend. The dinner at Uno's sounds yummy too. Our snow is finally disappearing. Have a happy weekend!
Nellie will enjoy the cloths for sure! So pretty. I had a bread machine once and didn't use it much so I gave it to my daughter. I'm excited for you to get the cookbook. Please be careful during your walks! Falling on ice would be no fun! Ouch!
Now I know what is on the way to me! How we need those here! Thank you so much for sending them! I'd love tomato soup and grilled cheese! Also, Uno's is a favorite place, too! We had one in a nearby town, but it closed a few years ago.:-( I hope you are enjoying your Saturday! - xo Nellie
Oh how thoughtful to take a friend out for supper. All too often, people are left on their own when it just shouldn't be. Nice gift for a gal who loves her bread machine.
