Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

The sun is back

☁     ☁     ☁     ☁
Ken wasn't feeling too good this morning when we woke up so I put off my walk awhile till he was a bit better.  I came home a couple of times during my walk to check on him.

It was 35 degrees and there was no rain or snow but it was still gloomy and cloudy.

I walked around town so I would be close to home.

No one else out walking or running and since I was a bit late all the school buses had been around already so there were no bus drivers to wave to.

Over in the library parking lot I found a lucky penny. : )
Walked 5.2 miles.

I made Ken some breakfast and when he was settled I put the dough in the bread machine and then walked over to Sherry's to drop off the cookies for the sale tomorrow at the Drane House.

Late morning the sun finally made an appearance and the rest of the day was sunny. So nice to see the sun after 5 1/2 days. : )

Did some more knitting this afternoon but still didn't get to that house cleaning. : )

Hope your day was a happy one.

It is indeed good to see the sun again! I've been reading about your walking...I really need to get out and do something! A year ago I had back surgery, so my activity level changed a lot in the last year, and I can really tell!!

I hope that today finds Ken feeling better. I can tell that he is in good hands with your loving care.
I echo your sentiments on seeing the sun after a gray spell. We had the same thing here this week. My energy level increases instantly when the sun is shining.
