Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Scarves and going to Lancaster

☀     ☀     ☀     ☀
30 degrees this morning when I started on my walk at 6:35.  There was a crescent moon hanging in a clear sky this morning.
Here is the sun just coming over the mountain at 7:50.  I took the above picture just few minutes later.
Stopped to talk to my neighbor Harold who stepped outside to get his newspaper and then I continued to walk around town.  Walked around both cemeteries and the ball park loop a couple of times.
No other walkers or runners out but I did wave to all the usual bus drivers.
Walked 5.7 miles.

I finished the last scarf which makes a total of 14.  Newest one is on the back of the chair.  Each scarf takes about 10 hours of knitting.
I packed up my suitcase today for a three day trip to Lancaster, Pa with the ladies from church for our fun Get-a-way.   : ) There are 15 of us going.  The scarves are going to be a surprise gift for them.  It will be so much fun having them each pick out a scarf.  I'm going to have 14 pieces of paper each with a number 1 - 14 on them.  Everyone will pick a paper and who ever has number 1 gets to pick first and then on down the numbers it will go.

We are meeting at church tomorrow morning at the very early time of 6:00 to begin our little adventure so there will be no walk tomorrow morning for me.
I'm bringing my laptop and will try to find time to blog.

Have to go and make supper now and then it's off to Wednesday evening church service.
Hope your day has been happy and bright.

Have a great time! If you wave wildly enough, I might even see you! We're between 1/2 - 3/4 mile from where you're going as the crow flies! :)
