Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Hay, bowling and no ice cream

Picture is from yesterday's walk.

Lately I've been leaving the house at 6:45 in the morning and it is back to being dark out when I leave.
This morning it was a warm 40 degrees.  Hard to believe we are in the second week of December with these warm temperatures.  Lots of clouds around and it was very still, not even a hint of a breeze.  I got warm and had to take off one of my sweat shirts.
I walked down the main road past the turn off for HT and then back to town,  around one of the cemeteries, the ball park loop and around town.

Very quiet, didn't see animals or people.
Walked 5.3 miles.

Bowling day has come around again.  We continue to go to the closer bowling alley and meet at 12:00, have lunch there and then bowl.  We usually bowl three games but today we bowled four.  There were five of us today and my scores were: 99, 123, 117, and 159 in that order.

Got some more knitting done on scarf 14 and I might be able to finish it tonight.

We still have some of those banana bars left that I baked and will have a couple of them for my snack later instead of my usual ice cream.

Hope your day has been a happy one.

We've been having unusually miild weather here in Tennessee as well. I'm not sure how much longer it will last, but I certainly like it more than the bad ice storms we had last winter.

Pretty rural images. You are a dedicated walker out in the dark. I am loving this warmer weather. I hope it sticks around. Great quote! Happy Wednesday, enjoy your day!

A lovely place to walk! I can see why you look forward to it every day. Many years ago I was in a bowling league. It was fun and I did improve but lots of pressure when you're bowling with others for place. Your scores were pretty good! Have a great day.

Hey - you are getting to be a pretty good bowler! :-) Hope you get some snow and colder temps. November was cooler than usual here in AZ. We have been FREEZING when it only get up into the 60s!

not bad with 159, I think that's been close to my all-time high. I'd love to see 200 one day

You saved the best game for last! Warm all over the place. It certainly has been very mild here and we have seen no snow at all. The ski slopes are complaining. I'm not! I remember one December in the late 1970s when my father mowed his lawn on Christmas Day. The temp was well into the 60s. So I guess it's nothing new, but it has been awhile since we've seen it again.
