Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Day Twenty-Three of Thanks

Giving Thanks Day Post Twenty-Three
Sunshine and Rain

I am thankful for sunshine. : )
This morning it was 19 degrees when I went for my walk
and to feel the sunshine on my face was heavenly.
I  looked up at the sun with my eyes closed
and said ahh, that feels sooo good.
I talk out loud all the time when I'm walking! : )
In the morning the sun shines in the big front window
where there are two chairs
and it is so nice to sit there in the sun.
When I think of sunshine these words come to mind:
Happy
Cheerful
Warm
Bright
I think of sunflowers and daisies.

I am also thankful for the other side of sunny days
which are rainy days.
Walking in the rain is something I enjoy.
Love hearing the sound of rain on
umbrellas
roofs
corn fields
Rainy days are good for reading and knitting,
or cleaning
or baking.

Besides if we didn't have both rainy and sunny days
we wouldn't appreciate either one of them as much.

A happy day to you
whether your day is sunny or rainy.
Enjoy it.
happyone : )

My day is cloudy and some would call it dreary, but I will not. I like all kinds of weather. Your 'thankful' posts are such a blessing to read.

19 degrees sounds too cold to me

Love the picture.. that sky is such a beautiful blue color!

I too am thankful for sunshine , and rain. Though, mostly sunshine at this time of year :)
Love the sun streaming through the windows when there is white snow on the ground... it makes the snow sparkle like diamond dust .

Have a Happy Thanksgiving.

Fun perspective with that photo. It is so cool that you are in tune with your world and that you often describe sounds.

Hi Karen, Today is December 6, and your post here was about two weeks ago. Sometimes I put all my blogging on the back burner but when I'm back at it I always want to check out all the posts I've missed on Life is Good. You are an awesome blogger! In this post I think the tree and sky picture is great. And, going back to the future, so-to-speak, I've got to congratulate you on finishing out the 30 Thankful Days of November so well!
