This morning the temperature was 65 degrees. It rained before I left and after I got home but not a drop fell on me while I walked.
I walked down the main road, around the two cemeteries, and around town.
Saw a man walking his two little dogs, a couple of rabbits and a couple of critters who didn't make it across the street in time.
Walked 5.4 miles.

I spent a good part of the day reading my book for the book club meeting this evening. I would read for an hour and then do some something around the house for a half hour and then read for another hour. I did that a couple of times and finished it. The book is The Boys in the Boat by Daniel James Brown. It is non-fiction book about the 9 men of an oar crew from the University of Washington who go on to win the Gold in the 1936 Berlin Olympics. The book focuses on Joe life but is about all of them. I thought the book was excellent and highly recommend it. You don't even have to be interested in rowing for it to grab your attention and keep it through the whole book. It is a book that I would not have selected on my own to read and that is one reason why I like the book club.
I thought of you Ruta when I read it and since your husband rows and I think he would especially like it. : )
My book club usually meets on Wednesday but it was changed to Thursday this month because it is not just the usual book club members but was open to anyone who read the book and the moderator was a women from the college. 14 of us attended and we had quite a lively discussion. Everyone thought the book was great.
Hope you all enjoyed your day.
In just a little while I will be having my ice cream - chocolate chip mint.
happyone : )
You know you have read a good book
when you turn the last page
and feel a little as if you've lost a friend.

Your nail polish is pretty, I am tempted to try blue but not so far. I was given silver nail polish (Essie) and like it. Thanks for the book review, it looks excellent.
Thank you, Karen. I am going to do it for sure now! You gave me just the nudge I needed. Your fingernails look pretty and happy too :).
I am also putting the book on my list. That sounds very interesting to me. I enjoy reading non-fiction if it is something that interests/inspires me. Thanks for the suggestion.
Hope you are enjoying that ice cream right about now.
Good thoughts and that seems like a fine book indeed. Greetings!
Love the nail polish - fun. I smiled at the book authors name, my youngest grandson is also Daniel James Brown, but I don't think he wrote it :)
Have a good week,
Diana
Pretty images and thanks for the book review. I like your nail polish, it is pretty. The ice cream sounds yummy. Happy Friday, have a great weekend!
Love the first photo Karen.
Your nail polish is very pretty. This summer I have been wearing blue on my toes. I can't wear polish on my fingernails. It would be chipped the first day!
Have a great weekend!
I was just thinking that the book might be interesting for Peter before I got to your comment which made me smile. I worked in a make up factory as a student and was able to buy nail polish cheaply so I wore it a lot but now I don't like the 'tight' feeling on my finger nails. I still wear polish on my toe nails occasionally, usually metallic silver or gold.Your nail polish looks very nice.
I've heard that it was an excellent book. I've not yet read it.
