Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

At home cleaning

✿     ✿     ✿     ✿
It was 48 degrees this morning and once the sun came up it stayed out in a pretty blue sky.  Though it was on the cool side this was my perfect walking weather.  I like the feel of the cool crisp air with the sun on my face.  It just doesn't get better than that. : )

I walked my around the town route.   I'll have to take a walking picture tour of that route some day like I did the Farm Loop.

Thought I'd see a few of people out walking or running on such a pretty morning, but just saw one person running and he was someone that I've never seen before.

The horses were out at the pond by the Drane house.  They didn't come over to me but did turn around to take a look.

By the time I got home it had warmed up to the mid 50's and later in the day it was in the 60's with a beautiful bright blue sky.
Walked 5.3 miles.
Found a penny. : )

Though I wanted to go to Happy Trails with Ken today I stayed home and did some house cleaning.  I was outside hanging clothes up on the line when I noticed my neighbor right behind me picking apples from the trees but it was the wrong neighbor.  : )  It was Ron, our neighbor at HT.  I went over to talk to him and he told me that Bob, our neighbor here said he could take all the apples he wanted.  Ron picks up the apples and feeds the deer.

I got a good deal of my housework done today and then read awhile out on the front porch.  I'm reading the second book in the Outlander series.  I'm about half done.  I started it a while ago but had to put it aside to get the book club selections read first.  Glad to get back to the Dragonfly in Amber.

We ended up going out for pizza at Brenda's for supper this evening.  They had stopped with the half price pizza on Monday and I thought now that Labor Day is over they might go back to it, and sure enough they did. : )

Well that's it for today.
Hope your Monday was a happy one.

Your horse photo is just beautiful Karen!
I love these cool mornings too for walking.
I'm glad you are enjoying the Outlander series. I do too.
It was so cool and rainy yesterday I did most of my housework then.
Have a nice evening!

Oh, nothing better than fresh clothes dried linens!!
It sounds like a nice day, and I too like a cool morning for walking.
Lucky you to find a penny!
I often wonder if I would find more money, if I walked when it was light ...*smile**.
It's pretty hard to see change lying on the ground in the dark :)

Have a sweet week.

I have four books on the go at the moment but last night decided that what I really need to do is read the ones that belong to other people and get them back to their owners. So that is what I shall do. I have read and enjoyed the Outlander series as well.
Have a lovely day.

That horse is a beauty and your picture is great.
Our cooler air continued today too and I love it. I can imagine the clothes on the line smelled extra fresh today.

It always feel so good to give the house a good cleaning, doesn't it? I wish we had a place around here that had half-price pizza on Mondays! I love the picture of the horse. Have a good week.

Good morning, I love the horse and the pretty sky shots Hubby and I shared house cleaning duties on Saturday. The cooler weather feels wonderful while walking. Have a happy Tuesday!

Great weather! Fall is definitely in the air! Love the picture of the horse. It sounds like you live in a place where everyone knows everyone else. Good to feed the apples to the deer. Hope he takes the apples where the deer should be staying.:-)

Sounds like wonderful weather! The kind that energizes and means that lots of things get done. It arrives here for a few days next week. It's been much too warm and humid this week.

I'm amazed at your cool temps already, and especially at how early you rise. I am NOT a morning person at all, and could not get up and dressed and out walking in the dark. It would wear out my spirit for the rest of the day! But I'm glad there are those who can, and who can take the photos and share it with those of us who stay in our PJs :)
